RainbowMau 292 July 2, 2014 Share July 2, 2014 Looks like I'm the only one who thinks this, but after watching the Over a Barrel episode I noticed some hints that may suggest Applejack could be Appleloosan or at least their origins come from there: Accent: I know that the dub does not mean anything, but in the Latin dub Breaburn has the same accent as Applejack, and all Appleloosans talk the same way. Hat: Applejack always wears a cowgirl hat, all Appleloosans do the same, but nopony else in Sweet Apple Acres do. Behaviour: Everytime Applejack is excited she acts like the combination of a cowgirl and her stallion, add to that the "yee-haw" expression, which none of her relatives in Sweet Apple Acres do, but curiously Braeburn and Appleloosans do. HunterTSN 1,444 July 2, 2014 Share July 2, 2014 (edited) It could be possible that the Apple family has roots in Appleloosa, we already know they have family there as well as in many other places around Equestria. But to answer your question no, I think Applejack was born and raised in Ponyville. Malinter 3,064 July 2, 2014 Share July 2, 2014 (edited) Nope, because the apples are not native to either ponyville or appleloosa. They were a migratory family as shown in family appreiation day and the Apple Family goes back before ponyville and appleloosa even existed. So far the Apples have been responible for the founding of both towns by establishing apple orchards. And as we know, granny smith had the accent even then, Considering Golden Delicious lives in the middle of nowhere, Where do they Apples come from? Those buffalo should be more worried about whatever growth accelerant Brae is usin' on those trees than the trees themselves. RainbowMau 292 July 2, 2014 Author Share July 2, 2014 The Apple family can't have roots in AAAAAAAAAPPLELOOSA! in Over A Barrel, Braeburn said that AAAAAAAAAPPLELOOSA! was built in just that past year. OK, I forgot that, but maybe something in Braeburn and the rest of settler-ponies may explain why Applejack has a different culture which is more similar to theirs. jeray2000 111 July 3, 2014 Share July 3, 2014 Well, maybe Ponyville just got a (relatively) large population recently, with the construction of the train, and up until recently was very similar to Appleloosa. And since Pinkie, Rainbow, Flutttershy, Twilight and possibly Rarity are all not native to Ponyville, that would support this theory as it shows several completely different ponies have all found reason to just recently move to Ponyville.
