"Humph...dumb punks...thinking they're all that..." Force said as he opned the door and walked in. The room was lit dimly, but Force turned up the lights and laid Riley on the couch. "Are you...hungry?" Force asked as he went to sit by Riley and make sure that he was alright.

It was at that moment that Riley's plump belly rumbled. He certainly was hungry. "Well, I wouldn't want to impose... I mean, you've been such a help already... but I guess I am a little peckish." He thought about what he'd like to eat. "Uh... do you have... er... sandwiches?" he asked.

"I have those." Force stated as he got up. He then went to the kitchen and started to fix some sandwiches for Riley. "What kind of sandwiches do you want?" Force asked from the kitchen as he started to get the supplies out to make them, all the while thinking about what Riley had said about him becoming an alicorn again.

Good question, thought Riley. He was so accustomed to simply making sandwiches with whatever filling he happened to pull out of the refridgerator. He wasn't a particularly organized or tidy pony, but he'd have to change that as long as he was going to be living here. "Um... hay? Please?"

"Yes? What is it Riley? Did you want to make a sandwich of your own?" Force asked as he finished taking out the ingredients for making the sandwich. "I have peanut butter, chicken, hayburgers and other stuff..." Force stated as he opened the fridge and showed what he had.

"Ooh, can I do that?" said Riley. "Thank you kindly!" He got up off the couch... and ended up falling flat on his face. Oh, yeah. Injured, he remembered. "Um... actually, Force Shock, I think it's better that you make it," said Riley sheepishly, attempting to crawl back onto the couch.

"Careful now. You don't want to hurt yourself any further. Looks like you got banged up hard." Force stated as he started to make the sandwich for Riley. After he made it, he brought some fruit juice and the sandwich all on a tray to Riley was was still laying on the couch.

"Thanks, Force," said Riley gratefully as he took the tray. He took a bite out of the sandwich. "Oh, man, this is seriously one great sandwich." He then took a sip of the fruit juice. "Mmm... is this pineapple? That was always my favourite fruit." He thought about gargling his drink for laughs, but he didn't want to accidentally offend Force.

"Glad you like it." Force stated with a warm smile. He then went to fix one for himself. He returned five minutes later and sat next to Riley. "So...what you do for a living?" Force asked Riley as he took a bite out of his sandwich and waited for Riley to respond to his question.

"I work at Manehattan Novelty Store," replied Riley. He swallowed his sandwich bite and went on. "I didn't need an insane amount of qualifications; just good social skills. Plus it pays decently, and it's very enjoyable, in my opinion."

 

"But from now on, I'll probably shudder every time I walk in there..."

"Hmmm....I see your point. Again, it is too bad that some ponies just don't know how to take jokes, but it's all in who you choose to pull jokes on. Gotta take time to observe the pony's attitude towards others. If it's of joy and always happy and can take a joke with continuous laughter, that's the pony you could pull a joke on." Force stated.

"Yup..." said Riley. "I should probably have gotten to see that pony's demeanour first..."

 

"Anyway, the store usually has the regular stuff. Whoopee cushions, slingshots, itching powder..." he said. "And once every month, we get a shipment of magical items for pranking."

"Sounds more like a joke shop..." Force stated. "And what do those magical stuff do anyway...? Are they...potions? Special Spells?" Force asked as he manipulated the energy around him and made an invisible energy ball. He threw it at an unlit candle, which lit it in an instant.

Riley watched intently as Force lit the nearby candle. "That's awesome..."

 

He went on with his explanation. "The magical items do things that non-magical items can't. They might change a pony's fur colour to something ridiculous, or change their body in some way."

"Hm...shapeshifting?" Force asked. He had been told stories of his ancestors who had mastered the power of shapeshifting without having to be a unicorn. It was an ancient form of magic only achieved when one unlocked their true potential after years of training.

"Well... I'm not sure if it's quite that advanced," said Riley. "It's sort of like Poison Joke in a bottle. Regulations say that it has to wear off after a very short time. Bad things could happen if it didn't."

 

"Have you ever come across Poison Joke?" Riley asked Force.
