Stellafera 3,836 July 12, 2014 Share July 12, 2014 On the forums there should be a place for PMV creators to post their work and give each other feedback I like this. As of now, we have to post our stuff in the "other" section, and I think it kinda discourages videomakers. Shanks 10,816 July 13, 2014 Share July 13, 2014 (edited) PMV's aren't as common as fanfics or fanart but are still quit common, I am thinking of making one with Ironwill played to pro wrestler Mark Henry's theme I could just imagine him to the tune of "somebody gonna get their ass kicked." SkyBound 829 July 15, 2014 Share July 15, 2014 (edited) On the forums there should be a place for PMV creators to post their work and give each other feedback Actually, you can post PMVs and other such fan-made videos in the 'Other Fan Works' section in Octvaia's Hall. That is one of the main functions of OH in general is to allow members to post their work so that they can receive feedback and constructive criticism from their fellow members and improve upon their craft. I like this. As of now, we have to post our stuff in the "other" section, and I think it kinda discourages videomakers. As it currently stands, any fanmade content that does not fit in the Fan Art, Fan Music and Fan Fiction sections would be place in the Other Fan Works section. This, of course, would include anything from PMVs, games, plushies and other such artistic projects. Perhaps implementing the prefix system similar to the one used in the Non-Fan Art section may help as this would create clear distinctions in threads with different works of art/mediums that art posted. There is also the tagging system as well, which can be quite useful (when used) in helping members find specific content based on which tags the OP used in their thread. If you don't mind me asking though, what is it with the current set up that may discourage video makers and other similar artists from posting? If there is a way to correct this, I would be more than happy to hear any suggestions on this and try to proceed with any necessary changes if feasible. Of course there is always the idea of looking into creating a Fan Video section, but that would have be looked into further. I suppose it's just my intuition that having a named section encourages more people to take notice of the video makers onsite, but the prefix system sounds like it could also be effective. AydinPie 19 July 15, 2014 Author Share July 15, 2014 (edited) I feel like there`s a large enough PMV community of to justify a section for video editing creations, especially since awesome fan made videos are often a point of reference to the fandom Edited July 15, 2014 by AydinPie
