How do I OC?

I'm not sure if I should draw or ask someone to draw my oc. Also I can't figure out a name for him. Any help is appreciated

That doesn't change anything. Sometimes people either have no ideas or have too many ideas and have trouble nailing down a good name. I did the same thing with my first OC.

As for this, I'd like to know more about the character to get the right idea for a name for him. At a glance, would I be safe in assuming he's some kind of scientist? What kind job does he do? What are his personality traits? If we can get those down, then we can formulate ideas for names.

 

If you're confident enough in your artistic abilities, I'd recommend you try drawing the character yourself first, because Pony Creator can only do so much, then you can put in some requests once others know your character better.

well... he is very anxious and needs something to do, is kinda lazy and stays inside his house-lab experimenting on random things he finds. Likes to stay to him self but can make friends when he wants to. As for what he does, he does earth science because he is interested in how the earth ponies survived without flight or magic, but with true grit.

 

BASICALLY....He's a tad anti-social and studies in  Biology and Geology.

what I'm saying is- if you're NOT good with names, then just put effort into researching one. And when you DO find one you like, it'll be all the more worthwhile and you'd be more appreciative of the perfect name, since you put the effort into working to find a name yourself.

oh okay, well thanks for the advice and sorry for that last post.

I found out a name! I'll call him...

Yea, you need to be original while coming up with what your OC looks like and what his name is.

 

For example, mine is named Sketchy Hooves and she's completely white besides her blue eyes and rainbow mane. And her cutie mark is a paint brush and pencil. I designed that around my hobby of drawing ponies. (Not that I'm good at it)
