Will Hasbro revive their older toylines?

Do you think they should? I came across a fairly old toyline from Hasbro called Fairy Tales, recently, and some of people seem to think they look related to MLP.

Do you all think that like the ponies, these Fairy Tails should be given a second chance?

What about Moon Dreamers?

I don't know if they will, but I think it would be a good idea if they did!

There's a lot of money to be made off of nostalgia. People are quite likely to remember old things they loved from their childhood and then buy them again.

I also think that those toys are adorable! I had never heard of the Fairy Tales - now that I've seen them, I want them, haha. I believe I did have some Moon Dreamers though. :)

definitely agree about money being made off nostalgia. Hey, it worked for the ponies, didn't it?

I'd be interested in seeing these get a second chance, especially if they had a tv show to promote the toyline. Animation is progressed so much since the 80's, it'd be cool so see how the characters get redesigned and all. (and I kinda want some Ursa character merch from Moon Dreamers. She's so cute)

They may, but I feel like a major issue is that they would start competing with themselves in the "girls toy market". They should be given a second chance, but I doubt Hasbro would want to put out something that would almost certainly directly compete with their flagship franchise in the current market.

I don't think a singular company can even compete with itself. Why not have another "girl's toy market" cartoon to fall back on, when ponies of g4 start making less money for them? Or Why wait till then, even? They could start bringing back those old 80's toons and revamping them, (maybe starting with 2 or 3 minute EQGRR-like short clips to test the waters) and bring in even more money alongside the pony franshise

now that Rainbow Brite is getting a reboot, I'm still wondering if hasbro is going to revitalize their "Fairy Tails" line, give it some new merch, a cartoon of its own (I don't think Fairy Tails ever had one, actually), and just renew interest, like they did with MLP

The answer to your question is a definite "no."

Reason:

Hasbro knows that its discontinued toy lines were extremely bad, and that the one it continues with are the good ones. Therefore, the only bad ones would come in the future.

MLP. Home sweet home. I forgot how nice the residents of Equestria could be. Anyone seen The Martian?

That's a jacked way of thinking. Someone could take what was bad in the past and MAKE it good enough to pitch to Hasbro and get them thinking about renewing their older toylines again, in better style or form or whatever. Just like Faust did to MLP.
