Winter was walking the streets of canterlot. He was looking at his shopping list and making sure everything was there. He looked up from it and tried to remember where he could get groceries. He rarely left home so he didn't know where everything was, even though he has lived in canterlot for 3 months now. He tried to not make eye contact with any of the ponies he came across. He came up to a crowd of ponies and froze for a second. He then took a deep breathe before he tried to get through the crowd. As he went through the crowd his heart beat began to speed up. He really did not like being in the middle of a crowd.

On the other hoof, there was a pony of royalty known as Quillina Script. This mare lived in Canterot Castle, and yet she did not look stuck up or rich. In fact, she only wore simple saddlebags with Luna's cutie Mark on them. She herself was a famous pony, and she hated being identified. She always felt confined if she was recognized, feeling as though she'd be swept up in parties and auctions for nothing in particular..

However, this day was about to take a different turn, as she slammed into another pony as the crowd thinned out, causing them both to fall over.

Winter fell back when he slammed into an unknown pony. He rubbed his head and said "S-sorry, I didn't see you there..." Winter noticed how that was the first time he was saying it to somepony else instead of somepony saying it to him before he got back up. He looked at the unknown pony as he picked up his shopping list. Some other items fell out of his saddlebag, like Rosin, some quills, and a small box of back up strings . He picked them up and noticed that the Rosin was shattered, he then added 'Rosin' to his shopping list. He then looked back to the unknown pony, he then timidly held his hoof out to try and help the pony up.

Quillina rubbed her head with a hoof, grumbling slightly. However, she quickly turned and counted the scrolls, for some, but not all, we're of importance. Making sure the exact number was inside, she timidly turned and made eye contact.

"Thank you." She smiled, lifting herself up onto her hooves. She smiled, but her shyness overcame her and made speaking nearly impossible.

Winter noticed that the mare wasn't saying anything. He opened his mouth to say something but he couldn't bring himself to say anything. He looked at her, and scratched the back of his head. He looked at his shadow; It was about half past one. He put his shopping list in his saddle bag, before noticing the mare's saddle bag had Luna's cutie mark on it, which made him freeze up a little bit. He finally brought himself to say something. "Hello" He said quietly and timidly.

The pony looked away, afraid of it. She tried to focus on something else, anything else. She was always living in socially inept life, afraid of interaction. Afraid of him, she began to turn away when he began to speak. She turned and looked down, whispering, "Hi..." she smiled, but she looked down. Afraid to speak, she stayed quiet.

Winter looked at his shadow again, He needed to get moving if he was going to find the right shop in time. He then looked at the mare, he didn't want to seem rude and just leave but nopony was saying anything so would it matter. He scratched the back of his head and looked at the road to his right. Winter then took a few steps towards the street and pulled back out his shopping list.

It was strange. Quillina found that she actually was wanting to follow him. Following him, she smiled. Starting to move, she hid herself in the crowd and dashed from shop to shop. She was a little nercou, feeling like he would turn and catch her. Yet when she saw him, she found she had to follow. Even if she was on a schedule.

Winter looked behind his back when he felt like he was being followed, he didn't see anypony that looked suspicious so he continued to walk. The feeling that he was being followed began to grow. He continued to turn around to see that no-pony was there. He stopped and took a deep breath to calm himself down. He then continued walking, humming Moonlight Sonata as he walked.

Quillina moaned when she hit her hoof on the stones, and yet she continued ot try and move along near him. her motions were percise, and yet she was a bit more than removed. She was about to turn into the store that Luna needed her to, but at the same time, she decided that it was wise to follow him. She quickly darted from stall to stall, afraid to lose him. She coudln't loose him.

Winter came up to the shop he was looking for and went in. He got everything on his shopping list but 'Rosin', but he could get that later. He had some items that needed to get back to his house stat, if not they would go bad or melt. He began walking home, his humming turned into a whistle and the tune changed from Moonlight Sonata to Minuet in G major. The felling that he was being followed was back, but this time he decided to ignore it.

Quillina stopped and actually, throughout the day, got through her entire list. But each purchase, each strange action was only made by the fact that she had to follow him. She felt like she'd never see him again if he moved too far, and yet she was so shy she couldn't dare approach him!

Winter continued walking, he could not shake the feeling that he was being watch and/or followed. He turned around and looked at everypony.'A shopkeeper, some rich ponies, the mare I bumped into, some more unknown ponies... wait, the mare I bumped into' He thought. He started to think that she could be following him but decided that she probably was just taking the same route as him. He turned back around and continued walking home.

He saw me! She yelped in her mind, hiding behind a building and shaking. He was so fascinating to her, yet she didn't know why! He seemed to encaptivate everything that she wanted to see. IT wasn't exactly very normal, and she coudln't make sense of it at all. Everything seemed to revolve around him.

He turned the corner and saw a music shop. He looked at a violin in the window of the shop as he walked. It was one of the most well made violins he had ever seen, well compared to his anyway. Winter tripped as he admired the violin and the contents of his saddle bag fell out, along with his groceries. He sat up and said "dang it..." He said quietly to himself before he began to pick them up.

Quillina saw him move and she actually started to see him at the music shop, which actually was one of her favorite passtimes. She smiled and then walked up, "O-oh hi again!" Shel ied, smiling. She bent down and began to help her pick up his groceries, smiling and helping them.

Winter looked at her and timidly said "h-hi..." He continued to pick up his groceries, luckily nothing spilled. He looked at her with a shy smile. Something came into his mind, was she the one following him? "Uhh W-were you f-f-following me?" He said quietly to her. He scratched the back of his head before continuing to pick up his groceries.

Quillina stopped and he looked down, not sure what to say. As they began to fill up the package, she debated whether or not to say yes. Everything about the situation could actually cause her to become destroyed. She looked up, "Y-yes...I-I couldn't even loose you...I-I don't know...It was just...just your face..."

"M-my face?" He said confused, He blushed and set the bag of sugar in the package. He wasn't sure if he should be flattered or freaked out. He looked at his hooves and remembered that she probably heard him whistling and his checks grew a little redder. He then picked up the last bit of groceries and put them in the package.

She was completely red, and she looked at him, "Yers...you're so...cute...I just couldn't go...if you want me to, I-I'll go away and never talk to you again..." She was so afraid she let a tear slide down her cheek. She was so scared, she was starting to slip, almost falling over.

"N-no, don't go" He said, before deciding; He should be flattered. His face began to go from his normal blue coloration to red. He looked at his hooves "So.... you probably heard me whistling..." He said before scratching the back of his head. He then remembered that he never actually told her his name "Oh yeah, I-I'm Winter by the way..." He said timidly.

Quillina smiled and she slowly turned to look him in the eyes, but isntnatly looked away as fear started to slowly take her over, "I-I'm Quillina...the royal scribe..." She blushed, trying not to sound full of herself. She really wasn't, and thus she didn't want to sound that way.

Winter tilted his head "A-a royal scribe? that explains luna's cutie mark on your bag..." He said, His face began to return to blue "Well. its nice to meet you, Quillina..." He said, he looked at his hooves before picking up the package of groceries and setting it in his saddle bag. He had a shy smile on his face.

Quillina nodded and she tried frantically to make some form of coversation. She started to think and suddenly she figuired it out, "D-do you want to see the castle? L-Luna wouldn't mind me bringing you inside, so long as you check in with the guards..." She smiled softly once more.

Winter's smile grew slightly, "S-sure, I've never been in the castle before, I have been right outside of it but I have never been inside..." He said. He remembered his groceries "but first can I drop by my home and put away my groceries?" He said before looking at his saddlebag, hoping that nothing had melted already.
