Need help with school's brony club

Hello, everypony! So I'm the president of my school's brony club and I am looking for new ideas for what to do this year other than just watching ponies. Any ideas for what I can do?

Perhaps you could have an art contest, or a MLP video game (perhaps you could play Fighting is Magic?) tournament.

Did that game come out? I thought it was C&D'd by Hasbro by awhile ago.

There are plenty of things you can do, such as:

• Discuss stuff
  • Episodes, music, fandom stuff
  • Maybe play some games like trivia or charades using your knowledge of the show
• Find a good cause and have a fundraiser
  • It will make your club look good and will get the word out to potential recruits
  • You can sell donuts or other snacks, or just ask for donations to a good cause
  • Donate funds to a local charity or give it to Bronies For Good.
  • Take some pictures of your work. If you donate a large enough amount, you may be able to get some publicity on Equestria Daily.
• Do some crafting
  • Buy some pony figures, some paint, clay, etc. and make some custom ponies
• Plan some outings
  • Go to a local park, restaurant, etc.
  • Try LARPing (Live Action Role Play)
• Have CCG (Collectable Card Game) tournaments
  • Have prizes for the winners
• Have a cosplay contest
  • Obviously you don't want to or can't walk around school in cosplay, but you can bring an outfit and put it on in the clubroom

 

That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Whatever you do, if you do anything in public, PLEASE be courteous to other people. I'm just saying that because I've seen too many videos of groups of bronies being obnoxious in public and no one likes obnoxious bronies. I think most of all, if you do some kind of fundraiser or public service it can make your club look good and inviting to others. Anyway, my school doesn't have any clubs, let alone a brony club, so I wish you the best of luck with yours.

Those are all very great ideas! I don't know whether we would go so far as to do a cosplay contest, but all great ideas nonetheless. I have actually been thinking of doing some sort of charity thing for a while, I've just needed to decide on how to do it.

I actually put a little thought into this one and it would work as an outside-of-school thing. I really like this one.

 

I also had the idea of trying to go to a convention, specifically BABScon, since that is the closest one to us. I've also wanted to get in touch with a nearby brony group to arrange some stuff as well.
