Calling all Princess Luna Fans: Open or Closed wings?

Open wings would be harder to deal with, but would add a lot of character to the plushie, and I think more people would want one with open wings if you were considering selling it. Closed wings would be easier , but less "appealing" to fans, in my opinion.

E.g. these examples of non-crocheted plushies. (I would directly post the images but that seems to be broken on the Forums right now. :P)

Closed wings: http://whitedove-creations.deviantart.com/art/Luna-Princess-of-the-Night-398496567

I personally think that open wings add character and more huggable surface (:3), and if you're looking to sell it then you might be able to charge a little more! ;)

I currently have a Luna plushie where the wings are able to open & close on their own. They are made from fabric only, & allow the wings to either open up & out or stay down at the body. This would be the best option, but if you can't do that I would ask this question; Cuddle plushie or Display plushie? If you want a cuddle plushie, one for just snuggling up to & enjoying, then go for closed wings. This way they won't get in your face while you snuggle up to the precious princess, & would make you less worried about damaging them if they are stuck at the body. If you want a display plushie, open wings looks better overall & would give the object more viewing pleasure. So really, it just depends on what the plushie is being used for imo

Thank you Pinkamena-Pills for resizing the original, and putting that little message at the end

Hold on, looking up the pattern so I can give an informed opinion...

That's a pretty nice pattern, actually. I might get that one myself.

Anyway, the way it's displayed on the site I found it on seems to indicate that the only real difference between open and closed is the position on the body (due to the way the wings are made). Unless there are more options that I'm not seeing without buying the pattern right now. In which case, I'd say closed simply because open might make it more delicate due to the smaller contact area, and prone to wear if cuddled.
