Need Help with the Color Scheme of My Pony!

Okay, so this is my earth pony.

 

 

I'm probably going to still tweak how she looks cuz I'm kinda not satisfied with her bangs and not quite set with her tail.  All I know is that I want her to have really long mane and a very long tail.

 

Now, on to her color scheme; I've been picturing a white, golden accented pony, but I noted that I wanted the base of her hair to be brown.  I just wanted gold highlights and to throw in some other brown or golden color in there.  I've been picturing a sort of white, golden pony.  I tried making yellow the base color cuz I found it easier to place the brown then and then make the yellow not so prominent, but...  It's still a lot of yellow and it's not looking golden!

 

Her hair makes her look more like a banana mocha pony right now and I don't want that!

 

I'm also planning on giving her visible, golden hooves.

 

Some of the source of my inspiration on her color scheme is from white, golden unicorns:

 

 

Unfortunately, her mane would look too "blah" being all white and I don't want her to be a blonde pony either.  I want a sort of golden, sunkissed hair pony.

 

I'm also having issues drawing the hair strands of her mane and tail if anyone can help me with that...  I'm only good at drawing the outline of hair...  But I might need it if I'm going to put highlights!

 

lol, am I making sense on what sort of pony I want?

 

Summary:

 

I want her mane and tail to be brown, but I want it to also look golden and sort of sunkissed.  I've been thinking of three colors in her mane and tail rather than two, so Pony Creator doesn't help much with that part of the color scheme.  I would like her body to be white, but I can make it off-white.  Like I said, her hooves will be golden.

Hmm, I think I see where you're going with this. You want a 3 color mane, with 2 different shades of gold, and a shade of brown in there somewhere, as well as a white, or off white fur. You also want the hooves to be gold. I think I can provide a color scheme that might work:

 

Mane Colors:

            Base Colors:

Cappuccino Brown

Vegas Gold

 

            Highlight Color/Hooves:

(You could use any bright gold here, I just suggested one)

 

As for the base color of the fur, I think you'd be best with an ivory or eggshell color. I think using an off-white would actually help accent the rest of the color scheme.

I'm trying out the colors right now.  I could probably keep working on it tomorrow cuz it's late for me, lol.

 

Right now, I'm trying trying to figure out how to separate her mane for the colors, but the colors look great so far!
