"Come on in dear I've got some dinner cooking." She says escorting the two inside, virtually nothing inside the home has changed, the room still decorated about with Native American art along with designs and items from the old says of Amanda's youth.

"Ya'll take a seat. I'll fix up the kitchen." She says, Luna and Eulogy lounge about in the living room.

"I got a phone call yesterday from Beckman." Amanda said,

"Old Becky? He doesn't have my number? Where's he at?" Eulogy asks.

"He's still in active service. Over in Mongolia." Amanda replied.

Luna perked up at hearing about the military member in her family. "We have family in the service?" She asked, smiling a bit. She had a secret of wanting to join the military and help out the hurting and the wounded. If she could help people in her dreams, she could do it for those who protected her. How she found out about the army was from ease dropping on her dad's news programs.

"He's a friend of mine. " Eulogy answers, "Met him during our basic after our schooling." He says.

"Come on, dinner is ready." Amanda announces happily. The duo stand and approach to the table.

Today's meal consisted of corn, carrots, bread rolls, and for meat: meatloaf.

Luna had come to understand of human diet for meat, and knowing meat isn't exactly ment for ponies. Also added to her plate is sliced green apples.

The mare smiled as she sat down at the table, levitating a fork and knife. She was rather accurate with her magic now, gaining a bit of talent for her  accuracy. Last week, she was able to construct a five story card house. As she looked to the food, she then looked up to her grandma. "Thank you so much for dinner." She said polity, her dad teaching her well. Taking the fork, she began on the carrots. After which, she began to butter her corn and bread.

The family continues about through the meal, Eulogy was the first to complete seeming to finished his meal in quick fashion, his preferable pace.

"Luna dear? Did you enjoy your trip to Myrtle?" Amanda asked, the two remembered back on it from the Spring.

Plenty of coastline, lovely white sands, and her first time she saw the ocean. Eulogy smiled having always wanted to take her.

"We, had fun. Didn't we?" He looks to the princess .

Luna was almost finished. She was still working on the corn when she was asked the question. "Oh ya! I loved the water and the warm sand!" She exclaimed, remembering how wonderful it was to get out of the sun and into the cool waters of the ocean. She did have to preen for an hour after, but it was more than worth it.

"You should ask dad about the sand crab" She then reminded, remembering her dad running across the beach because of a little crab.

Amanda looked to Eulogy with a playful smirk, Eulogy blushes a bit in embarassment.

"It looked like a spider, okay!?" He responds trying not to laugh.

"And I didn't run across the entire beach." He finishes. Amanda couldn't help but chuckle.

"I'm glad you two had fun." She says.

"I'll have to get you those pictures of my phone." Eulogy says putting his plate and Luna's into the sink beginning to wash them.

Luna stood, walking to the sink to help with the dishes. However, she wanted to go on her grandmother's computer and play some games. Usually, her dad would be over her shoulder whenever she was online. He seemed to worry about what she was up to when it involved tech. She remembered one time the two were watching TV. She had gone to get a snack, and while she was gone, her dad had muted the Tv. It sounded like an ad for a show, but when she returned, it had already passed.

Eulogy smiles at her giving her a gentle petting behind her ears.

The phone began to ring, Eulogy leaned over picking up the phone.

"Finish the plates for me dear." He says before answering.

"Hello? ... Woah Woah calm down." He says his tone shifting to concern as, he walks into the hallway, Amanda following her expression also concerned.

"What? When did this happen!? Why didn't you call sooner!?" He demands at the caller his tone becoming aggressive. He let's out a sigh, a rather depressed one.

"Alright....I'll... I'll let her know and I'll see about going over. Thanks, hey! Don't let Shane come near that house you hear me?" He asks before hanging up.

 

There was a tense moment of silence.

 

"what happened?" Amanda asks,

"Memaws dead. She passed this morning." He says. Almost immediately he hugged tightly to his mother who returned the embrace.

Luna had heard many stories about her great grandmother. They were of warm nights by the fire on Christmas, eating cookies and sipping cocoa. She had always wished to meet another member of her family, especially one who sounded so nice. However, at hearing the new news, she was paralyzed. To her, it was the first count of death she had ever experienced. There were waves of emotions flowing threw her, and she didn't know how to proses such an impact. However, seeing the face of her dad, she knew she was lucky. He knew his grandmother more and she knew her great grandmother. He needed her. She needed to help him. Slowly trotting over. She lifted a hoof, and hugged her dad, her horn igniting with a light glow.

 

In her dad's mind, the mare left a single memory. "I'm here for you."

There wasn't tears, but rather deep inner sorrow. Both Amanda and Eulogy embrace Luna in their comfort hug.

Finally after regaining himself he let's go. He pets Luna gently,

"Thanks Luna dear." He says giving a soft smile.

"You gonna go over there?" Amanda asks ?

"The rest of family you know won't lift a finger to stop Shane. I don't want him stealing anything." He replies.

he looks back to Luna, "Luna?"

"How would you like to go stay at your great grandmothers?" He asks, he tried not to sound like talking to her like a filly.

Luna thought for a moment. He had just asked her if she wanted to stay at her dead great grandmother's home. To her, it was a bit sad, and at the same sence scary. However, her dad seemed to be confident with it and he had a reason to go. Nodding her head, she pressed it against his side.

"Sure dad. That sounds fine." She said in a tone of sorrow.

He holds her close, "Don't worry dear it'll be alright." He says wanting to reassure her.

The two had returned home, Eulogy and Luna beginning to pack up their things.

Eulogy had assured they wouldn't stay long, a week at max. As she returns downstairs with her belongings Eulogy follows entering to the kitchen, she could hear an audible click.

Returning about he heads back upstairs to retrieve his luggage.

"Are you ready to go dear?" He calls out.

((Just clarifying he's staying there to prevent a certain family member from stealing belongings))

Luna had packed her case for what she needed: her crown (kept safe in it's box), some bathroom supplies, an altered bath robe she had made for herself, and a diary. She never would sleep without it, as she logged her dreams. Resting it by the door, she smiled to her dad. "Ready." She replied, opening the door with her magic as she then walked out to the awaiting car. "How long will it take us to get the house?"

Eulogy opened up the door for her allowing to fit her belongings in before taking her seat. With his items secured next, Eulogy takes his place in the driver seat.

"It's just 50 miles out. I think you'll love it dear, it's kinda like grandmothers house, but more out in the country rather than in a small neighbor hood.."

 

Pulling out of the drive way Eulogy and Luna begin their trip toward the East.

Luna dozed off rather quickly as they drove, the subject of their adventure was not exactly pleasing to her. However, as she dozed off, she began to view more of the dream people. Again, it was both happy and sad... however... one caught her eye. The girl was smiling to her. That was normal... but what came next... was odd.

 

"Hi luna!" She called, waving. The girl was roughly in her early teens. "I just saw you in Luna Eclipsed. You were amazing, and if you ever nee a friend. Im here!"

The mare smiled, "Thanks. I love... wait... what?"

(sorry for being gone for so long... I have just been out of it from sickness. Got hit with two strains of the flue this year.... Im sorry...)

Winding.roads and countryside views, over a bridge pass near a river and crossing through a small town he drove on. Eulogy peered.in his rear view mirror looking at his sleeping princess.

 

Once through the small hometown he follows up another winding road up the country hills, sitting upon one rests an old west.Europe style home. It's faded white color and overhang awning front pourch facing outward toward the hill view of the distant.

 

Pulling up onto the gravel driveway he parks behind an old model sedan. He looks back.

"Luna dear, wake up girl." He says gently reaching to pet her.

 

((I'm gonna break out from the main story and revise. Instead of his grandmother having died, instead she's near death and bedridden. Luna will get the chance to meet her.))

"What do you mean, Luna Eclipsed?" The lunar asked, a bit curious. 

 

"The show. I loved seeing you all royal, only wanting to make friends! It was really awesome!" The girl replied with a happy grin. She seemed to assume that Luna was part of something.

"What show?" 

"My little pony! You're in it, and the cutest one too!" She then replied. However,before Luna could ask another question, She was awoken by her father. 


"...hh...hey dad." She said, looking around the car. "Are we here?"

"Yes. What do you think?" He asked, Luna could see down the hill front to an open.field just below. To the back of the house there was a, large expanse of woodland forest.

"Now you can run about and.. Do whatever. You won't have to go in at certain times... Though you still got a bed times." He smirks a bit playfully.

 

"Now come on. Memaws just inside." He says and he steps out of the vehicle.

Luna nodded, fallowing her dad. She was still silent, wanting to express her thoughts regarding the info she was given. As they approached the front door, she stopped before opening it. Looking up to her dad, she then asked the one question.

 

"Dad... I had another dream in car. It... was about a girl. She mentioned something. Something about other ponies, and me.... In a television show..."

Eulogy's heart grew extremely heavy, but he held back his expressions.

His heart twisted and ached just similar to what the first it felt thinking back to when he first saw Luna.

"In a show? What exactly did she say?" He asked falsely sounding curious as if doesn't know anything about it.

Luna rubbed her head, trying to remember the dream the best she could. It was a little startling to hear such vivid descriptions of herself the way the girl seemed to know. "She mentioned the show's name was... My little pony." She then replied after a bit of thought. It seemed to be the right name, but what kind of show would be simply named 'my little pony'?

Eulogy kept his face from expressing deep remorse. He displayed himself in a thinking manner.

"Little pony? .... Sounds.. I don't think I know anything about that. I don't think there's anything called that- anyway we need to get inside. Memaw is awaiting." He says and opens the front door allowing Luna in.

 

The living room was of vintage design. Everything was of an older era. The tables, drawers, furniture. Even the television was of antique design.

 

Escorting ahead they enter into a bedroom.down the hall.

There laying upon a bed covered up lay a wrinkled elderly woman with immense white hair.

 

"Memaw. I'm here." Eulogy speaks softly.

"Euly... I see you." She responds weakly.

 

"Luna. Come say hello.".Eulogy gestures her.
