How you became a fan of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic: A roommate of a friend said: "Let's watch my little pony." After a break of half a year I started to watch the show on my own. This was back in 2011 and I am a big fan since.

I am Binary Blitz - most people just call me Binary, that's fine - and I am from Germany. I am developing computer games and I work in a small Indie game dev company in Berlin. We are working to get our game presented at PAX next year. If some game devs are here - I prefer to work with the Unity 3D engine and using C#. My favorite computer games are AI War: Fleet Command, Supreme Commander 1, Dwarf Fortress and Dungeons of Dredmor. Besides of programming I love Game Design. My favorite Youtube-channel is Extra Credits and I play Habit RPG to keep my game creation running and my loft clean.

 

Besides of games I do a lot of writing. I write some Fimfictions for our MLP Fanclub here in Berlin about our mascott. I also work on a Pony Pen&Paper game. I know, there are already some systems out there, but I love to create games. So I create a system, which should be able to simulate any kind of pony stories and adventures: Showlike stories, Power Ponies, Colthulhu - even Fallout Equestria if you want. It's kinda like GURPS but for ponies. I already played it pretty often and it runs good so far, but I have to improve it. Currently I am creating the basic content and next week 5 Non-Bronies want to play it. *yay*

 

Anyway, there is some important thing: I am visiting BronyCon next year and I like to connect with some people, to travel together to the Convention and to find a place to stay at night. But this can be discussed in another forum section, I haven't found yet.

 

Back to me - I don't like social networking so much. It stresses me and it feels to me like a duty to check mails and it takes a lot of time, which I want to use for game development. Also I am not very good with forums. I am here, saying hello but I am very quiet. However, I am pretty good with Skype and I check my E-Mails every day. I hope I find a way to connect to some ponies.

 

Okay - that should be enough for the first post here. Hope you enjoy it and if you like to complain my grammar - I am happy for every advice, because I started to write English roughly 2 years ago.

@Dragon - Could it be possible that we already met? Are there any meet-ups you visited this year?

 

@Peikko - I'm using English regularly for many years now. As programmer, most stuff you read is English and with the Brony-Fandom there is even more English. I think the only German stuff I write is the Fimfiction for our Fanclub. And when I compare English with German, than English is easier than than my first language. However, I think when I publish my Pony Pen&Paper I need a lot of help with the correction of the texts.

 

@Kaela and ooBrony - Thanks for the Brohoofs and the apple cider. It is currently 7:30 am here and I will go to work soon. I think I should stay here in the forum for longer, especially when I want to release my pony game. I only do design of the rules and content, but I don't do any art - even if I draw a little bit.

 

Okay - It's work time now and I am on my way to the subway. Here in Berlin (and Germany) is a union strike, so the normal city rails aren't available. The subways will be crowded so much...
