is there any episode of MLP you hate?

I wouldn't use the word "hate" but my most disliked episodes are "Games Ponies Play", "Somepony to Watch Over Me", and "Trade Ya". I also want to say "Dragon Quest", but it's very polarizing to me. Either I dislike it for its negative implications or I praise it for being one of the most positive portrayals of Spike in the whole series. I have a review of it on my blog if you want to take a look into that.

Your opinion on me being Discorded? :P

To the Elements!

attachicon.gifXmas chatty ask.gif okay now i would like to see your honest point of view

give me 5 reasons of why MLP became so popular

1: It came out at the right time. I haven't really seen another show that so well blends entertainment value and positive messages since the late 90s. It has that sense of nostalgia in terms of its writing style.

2: The name recognition and resume of Lauren Faust. In fact, this 2010 Cartoon Brew article is claimed to be partly responsible for the rise of the brony community thanks to its name-dropping of Lauren Faust: http://www.cartoonbrew.com/ideas-commentary/the-end-of-the-creator-driven-era-29614.html

3: The show's ability to generate such a huge amount of high-quality fan content. The art style is absolutely beautiful, fun, and simple to draw. Combine that with the well-written storylines and worldbuilding for a show of this type, and the strength of the characters. That's why you have such a wealth of fan content across all media.

4: The diversity of its appeal. This goes partially to the well-developed, diverse characters brimming with personality, but also to the nature of the show itself. It has a little something for everyone. Some people prefer the adventure. Some prefer the slice-of-life stories and the character development. Others like the sharp comedy. And many just came for ponies. I really believe there is no other Internet-based fandom that has the age, gender, and personality diversity that we do.

5: The general positive attitude in MLP communities despite the few bad apples. That's what's so great about having the show centered around such positive morals and progressive social messages. We're more optimistic, more friendly, and less judgemental than most other fandoms, and I've been in a couple of other fandoms where the people are more harsh, cynical, and quick to judgement, and such character issues are widespread in the particular fandoms. As an added bonus, the people in charge of the show, from staff to cast to even some of the executives, are very transparent and open to discussion on the show, are very respectful of the fanbase, and handle the many issues of it with tact and graciousness.
