Recording Drums help.

Okay, I'm recording a song with a member of this forum. My main problem, as with all of my musical projects, is that my drums are over barren with cymbal splash. I feel like I've tried everything. In my latest track, I tried not micing the cymbals, but that did nothing. I figure it's the master or my EQ, but I really don't know.

 

Example of recording set up. I have 5 mics at work here (Bass drum, mounted Toms, low Tom, snare, and ride Cymbal.) I have 8 mics and the stands to do any set up I please, but I can't figure out how to do it.
