How do I make pony fanart?

So I'm interested of making MLP fanart to become a better artist and maybe make speedart videos. If some MLP drawing expert is here, maybe you could make a tutorial to how to draw fanart? I'll need one for the Paint program every Windows computer has, and I'll need one tutorial for how to draw one on paper. Now, mods, I'm unsure of where to post this, so if the thread doesn't belong here, lock and link me to where I should post or move it to the belonging section.
