Bird Mom 900 February 1, 2015 Share February 1, 2015 (edited) I had a ball doing this, it was so carefree and all. But the shading doesn't look very good because of my scanner, but I'll assure you it looks pretty boss in the flesh. But anywho, on with it. (It's supposed to look like a dark cloud of sadness, almost an enigma) Edited February 1, 2015 by QueenRarity 5 "Pay attention to these petals, Steven. Stallionslaughter 394 February 2, 2015 Share February 2, 2015 It's not bad linework, but the shade is just a blob of grey. Smudges are the bane of my existance and I avoid them completely. I use a mechanical pencil and hatches come out really smooth with enough work. 1 Floor Tom - Stallionslaughter - Commission Pencil Artist ASK STALLIONSLAUGHTER THREAD
Tameless 979 February 2, 2015 Share February 2, 2015 Very nice. Keep practicing on shading. 1 Signature By: Kyoshi "There has never been a sadness that can't be cured by breakfast food." - Ron Swanson QuirkyUsername Makes Me Smile!
ManeStay 236 February 2, 2015 Share February 2, 2015 Very nice work! I understand what you mean about the color not appearing the same from a scanner- it happens to my work all the time. It still looks good though
Stallionslaughter 394 February 4, 2015 Share February 4, 2015 Scanners generally suck at capturing different shades of grey. Google Gimp 2.0 and download the freeware. I used the burn and dodge tools to fix the shading ambiguity that scanning can degrade. Raini Skies 78 February 4, 2015 Share February 4, 2015 Oh, that scanner really messed up the shading. Nevertheless, it's pretty good.
