MLP/FNAF couterparts?

Five Nights at Freddy's is an internet sensation with what is imo a very similar fandom to the Brony community. Both fandom's love to involve themselves in everything possible by adding their beloved characters to all kind of situations thought up by other madia. I imagine their are alot of mutuals between Bronies and FNAF fans, in fact I myself got heavily involved in both fandoms starting around the same time (FNAF in october, MLP in november). I was wondering, for the sake of SFM purposes, which FNAF characters match up with which of the Mane 6, I'd go the following:

 

Twilight/Marionette: Both seem to be the leaders of the respective clans, according to some theories, the Marionette controls the actions of the other animatronics in the second game, so the Marionette is likely very powerful. A case could also be made for matching Twilight with Freddy or Golden Freddy.

 

Pinkie Pie/Freddy: Pinkie Pie is a fun loving party planner. Freddy Fazbear's Pizza is a children's fun place that hosts parties. Pinkie Pie would be the perfect mascot for such a place. Case could also be made for Pinkie Pie/Chica because they're both gluttonous and like cupcakes.

 

Rainbow Dash/Foxy: Both popular characters within their fandoms, both have a cool/naughty streak.

 

Fluttershy/Chica: Chickens are often seen as timid animals which would go hand in hand with Fluttershy's persona. The yellow skin is also a similarity.

 

Rarity/Bonnie: Bonnie always struck me as a little feminine despite allegedly being a male character.

 

AppleJack/Golden Freddy:

Both have personalities hard to define or not very defined. A case could also be made for AppleJack/Mike Schmidt for they're probably the most down to earth 2 characters.

 

Spike/Balloon Boy:

Both play a more sidekick role than a role of the main cast. Both also children.

I'd probably go Twilight/Freddy, because of both being the leaders and the (kinda) main characters of their respective franchises. Apart from the Marionette, I guess, Freddy also seems to be the smartest of the animatronics? (at least in an AI sense, he's usually the hardest to find and/or the best at killing you )

I like Pinkie Pie/Chica or Toy Chica, though I can see why it's usually Pinkie/Freddy (there's a fan game called Five Nights at Pinkie's), but as you mentioned, both like their food and I always headcanoned Chica's personality as a little Pinkie-ish.

 

Agreed on Dashie/Foxy, fits both their places in fandom (idk about the most popular, but definitely very popular) and Foxy being the fastest animatronic.

 

I kinda want to say Rarity/Mangle as the most feminine-looking (although I know Mangle's gender is debated, but she/it looks like a girl to me)? Rarity/Bonnie could also work though, mainly because purple - or Toy Bonnie might be a better fit, because he(?) is both fancier and more feminine-looking.

 

AJ...hmm, that's a tough one, none of them seem to be an obvious fit. Maybe AJ/Bonnie because in FNAF1, Bonnie seems to be the most active...? That's all I got AJ/Mike Schmidt could work too, or AJ/Phone Guy (delivers sensible advice...mostly).

 

Fluttershy...this is harder than I thought XD Maybe Golden Freddy, because yellow and doesn't appear very often...? More like when Fluttershy gets angry - doesn't happen often, but when you do make her mad(/see Golden Freddy), it usually means Bad Things are gonna happen

Totally agreed on Spike/Balloon Boy because nobody likes him he's more of a sidekick role and helps the others out.

 

Maybe Discord/Marionette...? Very powerful, controls things, doesn't conform to laws of physics and at first seems like the ultimate evil, but it turns out they might not be so bad/on the good guy's side after all in the end? Not a perfect fit, but yeah, something like that
