Are the main 6 Demigods

This just came up in my head in the shower one morning. All the main 6 must be demigods to be on the same level as Twilight. So without further adieu why the main 6 are demigods.

 

Twilight Sparkle: Ok this is the most obvious she is a frigging alicorn princess all of whom are of demigod levels.

Rainbow Dash: Her sonic rain-boom requires so much wing power that no other pegasus can even come close to that level of speed.

Flutter Shy: One power she has stands above the rest the stare able to even take down magical critters with eye powers (the cockatrice).

Pinkie Pie: Do I even need to say it. She breaks the fourth wall has mild prophetic powers (the Pinkie sense) and an IQ off the charts to remember every pony in Ponyville.

 

The only thing standing in the way of this theory is Apple Jack and Rarity. I have yet to find a case where either has done anything that could be said to be of demigod level. So after all that what does everypony think of my theory and can anypony think of what demigod powers Apple Jack or Rarity could hold.

Not really sure if they are, as to be a demigod, one of your parents has to be a god. Having extraordinary powers does not automatically make you a god or a demigod.

and with that logic presented, NONE of the mane 6 are demi gods, because none of their parents are gods, from what we know, so far

We have a moderate list of Ponies who can give dash a run for her money. 

 

Twilight can be beaten by normal-ish unis

 

According to Journal of the two sisters Luna has similar powers to Flutters, and I'd bet there are lots of similar powers out there.

 

I'd guess that other ponies can break the 4th wall, clearly cheese has prophetic powers, and lots of ponies are really smart.

In a world where almost everybody is nearly cookie cutter pretty [basic pony mold = pretty] or handsome, why should we be surprised that many of them are exceptionally powered also?

 

The one advantage the Mane 6 clearly has is the One Ring elements of harmony.

IIRC AntonyC made a similar suggestion when he mentioned that the Mane 6 could be compared to angels...but that was before his "Celestia as God" head-canon was destroyed by "Canterlot Wedding." XD

 

But yeah, I don't see them as demi-gods; just the destined few who have to save the world when the time comes.

After watching this video I have to say that I don't agree with AntonyC past belief. He treats Celestia as God(or did), Luna and Cadence stop that theory if alicorn is God how can there be 3 Gods. If you instead treat it like a Greek pantheon of gods the idea of 3 gods or 4 if we assume the changeling queen is a god in her own right then problem solved. Even gods in Greek literature get wounded by other gods nothing new for them they just don't die from wounds (most of the time). I dunno just a counter theory here.

Celestia and Luna are really damn powerful so they're pretty close to being demi-gods. Cadence and Twilight are both smaller princesses both in power and in physical size as well.

 

The other five companions of Twilight are also not demi-gods. How can you say that? Sure, they can wield the elements of harmony when all six are together but they are normal in every other way. If you want to call them demi-gods they should at least be able to live a really long time if not be immortal.

No. Four of the six just have special abilities. They are not demigods.

 

Rarity and Applejack are not anything special. That is why they are almost always the lowest ranking. Sure, Rarity can find gems, but so can Twilight, so it's nothing great. Besides, Twilight is better than her at that. There is nothing that Rarity nor Applejack can do that makes them stand out. 

 

Fluttershy can talk to animals 

Pinkie Pie can break logic

Rainbow Dash can preform the sonic rainboom

Twilight has very powerful magic.

 

My two favorite ponies, Rarity and Applejack are just there. Boring with nothing interesting. They probably will never have anything that makes them special. Farming is popular, and there are a lot of fashion designers and seamstresses. Rarity's gem finding spell doesn't count because Twilight is better than her at it. So for those two, they aren't special. They never will be, and they will always rank at the bottom. 

 

No, I don't love them because they are underrated. I also love Luna who is overrated. 

 

Of course, Rarity is hated for other reasons besides the fact that she has nothing that makes her special, but hate and not being a fan are two different things.

No; not at all. The only one of the six to be arguable is twilight, and that's due to her having freakishly powerful magic and being an alicorn.

 

 

Dash STARTED out being very arguable as a super pegasi, but that was heavily throttled after season 1, and now she doesn't seem to be anything more than a talented pegasi; Lightning dust is virtually equal to her, Spitfire almost assuredly is, and her wing power rating is BARELY that much more than a normal pegasi.

I actually think its somewhat sad in that dash REALLY started out being depicted as this uber skilled individual, but the sonic rainboom almost comes off as a one hit wonder, that she's been wining and dining on ever since without any other accomplishments to accentuate it.

 

Rarity has no real special abilities outside of gem finding. And while the comics humerously show'd that the diamond dogs would make someone their ruler simply for having that skill, the fact that twilight could copy it in 5 seconds makes it seem pretty weak.

 

Pinkie pie has Pinkie sense, but there's really nothing indicating that its of extra special abilities now, since Cheese sandwhich has shown up. Additionally, since pinkie has never been shown to really capitablize on her pinkie sense to know stuff, its more debateable. If they were to show that all her cartoon physic antics were ACTUALLY real and not just gags, that she could do the mask style antics as a magic of some type, that'd be neat, but as is, she's nothing special.


Fluttershy actually is the closest to having a claim to fame, more than dash even, since her Stare power is actually pretty powerful; but since lots of animals have been shown to just ignore her (like in the comics the spiders couldn't give a crap about her), this has been tempered somewhat.

Applejack... also has no powers, like rarity. She can kick hard, but its nothing that's hercules tier; Heck, Maud is probably stronger than her.

 

 

 

 

The mane six have been shown to not really have gained any powers from their interaction with the elements of harmony (Rainbow power looks to have just been a one time thing). So while I DO think Twilight is legitimately a demi-god at this time, due to having magical skill that is pretty absurdly power (to the point that celestia herself thinks she's the only one who could handle having 3 other alicorns magic put into her) AND being an alicorn, the others have absolutely no argument at this time.
