EPRB videos take a lot of time and effort to make.

Voice actors have to be found and the lyrics must be wrtitten a lot of thought.

 

I think that the reason this series has stopped for now is because the videos just take too much work.

Somehow I doubt that's the case. :/

I don't see why it would. Yes, the songs would have taken quite an effort to make but not necessarily more difficult to make than typical MLP fan song. Big Mac vs Blue Blood would have taken quite a bit of effort due to it being an animation, but I think simple cover image like that of Zecora vs Iron Will would have sufficed (and knowing this fandom someone may have eventually made animation anyway).
