How to understand a verse from MLP theme song?

Sorry... I'm not native to English. While I usually can understand it very well, I still sometimes bump into verses I cannot translate.

At the end of the Theme Song Twilight sings: "You have my little ponies // Do you know you're all my very best friends"

How to understand this "you have my little ponies"? Literally, it would be "you own my little ponies", but this simply makes no sense.

The last two verses of the song are: "My Little Pony, don't you know you're all my very best friend?"

My little pony being in the song is a franchise plug. The following verse is more a plug to the toyline they're aiming at the little girls who buy the toys and play with the ponies- the little girls who pretend that the toy ponies are alive and their best friends

I hear what you hear in the last two verses. Haven't been able to figure out what they mean with "you have my little ponies" or if I'm even hearing it right but that's what it sounds like to me.

That is what the lyrics say no doubt. You have my little ponies can mean two different things.

1. It could be a way to present a topic. Like if we were talking about fandoms and then I said well... you have the Bronies... but it usually follows up to talking about them or making a description. The following verse do you know you're all my very best friends doesn't match up with it.

2. Now the other would be saying you have them as in possessing them as in the toys. It follows up with you know you're my very best friends and here it makes more sense albeit still sounding like it doesn't fit the rest of the song and can just be seen as gibberish plug in to sell toys.

I just read through the lyrics. To my best guess, when Twilight sings "You have my little ponies". It's right after the mane 5 say their lines, so saying "You have my little ponies" to me, sounds like an introduction to the group. The best example I can come up with is, imagine 2 people in a boxing ring. The announcers will say "In this corner you have boxer number 1".

The fact she says "Don't you know you're all my very best friends?" after that verse it makes what I say make more sense. After introducing the gang "You have my little ponies", you then get her telling them they are her best friends, "Don't you know you're all my very best friends?".

Another possibility would be that it's literally just summoning up the bases of the show and what it is. They say "big adventure" which you get lots of adventures in the show. They say "tons of fun" which they have a lot fun in the show. They say "A beautiful heart" which most of the ponies do. They say "faithful and strong" which the ponies are in fact, faithful and strong. They say "sharing kindness" which is a trait most of the ponies share and lastly they say "and magic makes it all complete" which a lot of ponies have. This whole part of the song sums up the show and the ponies themselves. This is followed up by "here you have my little ponies", this is the song introducing you to the show and the pony universe that is My Little Pony. When she says "do you know you're all my very best friends?" it's just her saying all of the ponies and you as well (the viewer) are her friends.

In my opinion it's probably the second possibility. The song, when analysed and read in English terms, sounds to me like 1 big introduction. Considering it's the theme song that plays before anything starts would suggest that the song is just introducing you, as opening themes are more or less an introduction anyway.

I listened to it a bunch of times and it would appear to say, "you have my little ponies". I didn't really register "you have..." before since the line is said like "you have MY LITTLE PONIES!!"

As for the meaning, I guess it could mean....nothing? I have no idea if there's any kind of context behind it.

I always just thought the same... It just fills the syllables, really.

I always hear "and magic makes it all complete to have my little pony/ponies". Which in my mind means nothing but just sounds good when you DONT analyze it xD

It's not a good sign. But at least we can listen to the longer version of the song which does not have that and is far superior.
