Alicorn --> Unicorn?

If Twilight can become an alicorn could there be a possibility for Celestia, Cadence or Luna to turn into unicorns? I wonder when Celestia's powers began to wane she will turn into a unicorn to conserve her life energy.

If you go by the information in Journal of Two Sisters, or if the leaks to the movie end up being accurate .... no. They are natural Alicorns and part of a larger tribe.

Her initial design was an unicorn until Hasbro told Faust to make her an alicorn because she's a princess.

 

That book is not canon to the show. Otherwise why would Celestia tell Twilight she's the only one that has achieved alicornhood and wasn't born as one?
