A Premium Membership feature with free User Title changing

What I am suggesting is instead of having to pay for such a simple feature that used to be free what if we simply had a Premium Membership group instead? Basically Premium Members would be like Normal Members except the difference is they would have a different colored username like how Administrators, Moderators, Sectional Staff, and Subscribers do. They would essentially be the same as Subscribers due to having no Staff powers of any kind.

And the conditions for achieving this membership status could be something like at least 1000 posts and at least 500 brohoofs or something of that sort. That's usually a similar way to how this feature has worked on other website forums and I think it would help benefit this site and attract more members.

Anyway point is I have seen this feature implemented on forums just like this one before and I feel that it is a reasonable compromise to having to pay and be a Subscriber if you want to change the user title underneath your username.

Not really. Unless getting to change your user title at will is the only perk that comes with being a Subscriber.

Being a subscriber increases signature limits, PM inbox limits, avatar limits and you can change your name 3 times every 15 days. I hesitate to add another member group outside of the event specific and subscriber groups simply because it can form a noticeable gap between an older member and someone who joined a week or so ago.  The badges are a good enough indication of someones level of posts and such.

 

Edit: I misread the damned subscriber page. We could perhaps add a limited number of member title changes to allow any member to change their member title 3 times every 15 days or such, akin to the username changes.

Sounds reasonable. I just really want to be able to change mine again.
