Prologue:

A pony is standing above a body with a knife in his mouth a knife covered in blood and the pony on the floor has a gaping hole in the side of his body just under his wing

Travel walks to his stand in the court, he sits down, he had a very nervous look on his face, the life of another was in his hands, and it is his first trial. His thoughts: Oh man, this is going to be intense, i hope i can do this correctly... He took a bit out of a sandwich that he was eating for lunch.

Madness sat down reading his book, with his hooves propped up, while waiting for the others to come to the courtroom After he finished a few chapters,he checked the time, closed the book, stretched out his limbs and wings, he closed his eyes, and relaxed.

(ZE PROSECUTOR IS HERE XD)

 

Marble sat ontop of the prosecutor's bench. She wondered who she would be facing today. Not that it mattered, she would win flawlessly as ever. She hoped this trial would be interesting, it wouldn't matter though it would be over in several minutes, all she had to do was wait for the judge and saw the Defence walk in and eat a sandwich she smiled at him, her fangs glowing in the light.  

 

she couldn't wait to get her teeth into this stallion and tear his defence to shreds. 

 

(note: shall let everyone get seated and judge to bring the court to session then, I will present initial findings, nopony post the initial findings since its up to the prosecutor, which is me, to do the start)

 

 

(sidenote: shall be off for around 9 hours after this post XD)

Travel saw the prosecutor looking at him funny, almost like she wanted... To eat him... Travel shook of the thought thinking it was silly, but still, it was unnerving to see somepony stare at you in such a malicious manner, he took another bite of his sandwich.

Sparkle and Sparkle were sitting on a bench in the lobby. Sparkle (female) looked like she was gonna cry and her brother Sparkle (male) had his hoof on her shoulder saying " it's okay sis Ember well... Just forget about him he's in a better place now... I mean he wasn't all that important... Anyway shouldn't you be researching? Or is this trial your research? " Sparkle asked his twin who replied with "no I'm a witness can we not mention Ember please?"

"Oh... Okay sis I understand "

"And after we can get ice cream!" Sparkle said in a desperate attempt to lighten the mood

Marble pulled out a watermelon from under her bench and began cutting it into segments, she then popped a small piece in her mouth and began eating it. She glanced over at the defence "So, you that new defence guy right? When you lose, you want to go back to mommy?" she asked him smiling, she nibbled on another segment of watermelon. She just loved her fruit being a bat pony and all.

A hush came over the courtroom as the honarable judge Charmer entered the room. " I officially call to trial to begin" said the judge forcefully, " the defendant is charged with murder of a fellow pony. If the defendant is found guilty he will be charged and sentenced to imprisonment. Prosecutor please make your opening statement."

Marble had just started her third slice of melon when the Judge began talking, she continued to nibble after he had finished, the courtroom grew silent apart from her munching.

 

*munch* *munch* *munch* *munch*

 

When she finished the melon she put it to one side with the rest of them, she then again began to slice a fourth slice of melon. "The case is quite simple really, The defendant was found over the body of the deceased with the murder weapon in hoof" she finished before beginning to nibble on her fourth bit of melon.

 

"The strangest part of the case is the Defence, who is rather new to the court proceedings" she remarked glancing at him smiling, "Since it's you're first day I will be nice, I will let you change you're defence from 'Not Guilty' to 'Guilty' and have the defendant be imprisoned for 20 years, rather than life." she said smirking at him.

 

"Or I can present the autopsy report, Witness and have your honour who's looking fabulous as always bang his gavel and declare 'Guilty'" she finished looking at the Defence waiting for his response.

The judge looked over at Marble, " thank you, while I am fabulous flattery will not work on me, " said the judge ' " and please stop eating that melon. this is a courtroom not a lunch room." he turned and looked over at Travel, " how do you respond to the prosecutors statement?" "Was anypony else found at the scene other than the defendant?" Travel said trying to ignore her previous remarks. He set his sandwich into a bag under the table. Travel thoughts: I feel like these witnesses are going to be extremely difficult to work with...

As soon as he heard Judge Charmer talking, he opened his eyes, grabbed his book, and started to read. He listened closely Marble's statement, but kept reading. When Travel started talking, he placed the book down and started making riddles, thinking up some puzzles, and writing them down

Sparkle walked into the courtroom nervously took a look around and immediately hid behind the proccocution desk "umm... The replacement proccocution is ready your honour.... Was I supposed to say that? But I'm really just a law student... So can somepony tell me how court works exactly?" Sparkle laughed nervously

The judge sighed. "Mr Sparkle I will give you a brief summary of how this works but I will not repeat myself." said the Judge, "Your job is to present evidence, that proves that the defendant is guilty of the crime that has been committed. Now can you please answer the defences' question?"

Sparkle slammed her hoof on the desk "YOUR HONOUR AT LEAST GET MY GENDER CORRECT" Sparkle brought out a note book " according to the police's investigation two witness's on location and what's more Mr Travel we have DECISIVE EVIDENCE the hoof prints of the defendant were found on the murder weapon and as I believe everyone in here knows not one pony shares hoof prints"

The judge blushed and looked extremely embarrassed as he sat in his chair. "I do apologize Miss Sparkle," said the judge apologetically, "but while we are on the subject of witnesses would you mind bringing out your first witness so that they may give their testimony?"

"Yes of course your honour the proccocution calls it's first witness a scene who staying in the room next to the murder scene" (King that's you) "and tell him that saying anything unnecessary about the victim will end in punishment he was very close to me... But you won't get it out of me "

Flamestreak came flying in from the outside. He was coming a little too strong he was out of control while quickly approaching the stand. He tried to stop or at least get out the way but ultimately crashed in to the judge. "Sorry there judge didn't see ya ha-ha." He said nervously laughing, covering his face with his wings trying hide to his embarrassment.

Madness watched as the witness flew into the room, crash into the judge, amd apologize. His wings start itching to stretch out and fly away from this court, but he looked at his paper & started continuing his puzzles, with a small smile on his face, after he was done with the page he propped his hooves up, closed his eyes, and fell asleep

Flamestreak came flying in from the outside. He was coming a little too strong he was out of control while quickly approaching the stand. He tried to stop or at least get out the way but ultimately crashed in to the judge. "Sorry there judge didn't see ya ha-ha." He said nervously laughing, covering his face with his wings trying hide to his embarrassment.

"Ah... The witness has arrived" Sparkle slams her desk to seem extra threatening "right witness please state your name and occupation to the members of the court and I promise you'll have a quick exit after I deal with the ever so handsome defence... And no Travel just because your attractive does not mean I'm going easy on you..."

Travel was blushing, but he shook it off because he needed to get his head straight so he can win this trial for his client, besides, this is his first trial, he needs to start his career with winning! Travel liked the little speach he just made, maybe he should make a logo for his office er somethin.

Sparkle laughed " and some ponies wander why I'm so good at flattery... So morons like Travel over there will concentrate less on the actual trial... But remember one thing I don't lose especially not against some strange defence attorney who just passed the bar exam ... So be warned"
