Here is how it's gonna start off

 

Lightning Strike was putting the final touches on everything for her sleepover, snacks? Check. Games/activities? Check. Music? Check. Everything seemed to be perfect, the only thing needed was her friends. So, while she waited, she turned on the music and set up her sleeping bag

cresent looked at the clock next to hi table, "probably should head out hate to be late for this:" the bat pony looked over his bag. sleeping bag is ready, an good sketch pad, he looked at his gauntlelt for a bit weigh the options. He didn't want to seem as an threat on accident but every time he left in his tree house things still seemed to go bad for the bat pony. He threw it in just in case and set off towards Lightning strike place wonder how the night would go as he flew out gazing ponyville he just realized something

LS was starting to get a little bored, so she walked outside to see if she could find anyone to talk with or if she was lucky, her friends that should be coming over soon, she realized she wouldn't get a good view from the ground so she flew up high, 'where could they be?' She thought to herself as she kept flying.

As Cresent did a few circle's around ponyville he finally saw an familiar blue mare fly up in his line of sight. He flew towards her thinking of an clever way to say hi, well nothing came up except

 

"Lightning was up!" he called out as he flew up to her going in for a bro hoof

LS looked up at the sound of someone calling her name, she recognized the bat pony in the distance so she flew over to him and give him a bro hoof, "hey there crescent! It's nice to see you, ya ready for the sleepover?" She asked him as she flew up onto a nearby cloud.

Cresent followed setteling himself on a nearby cloud "you bet with the busy week iv had it'll be good to relax finaly. hope im not too late I forgot where it was thinking it was somewhere up here near the clouds.

 

"by the way" he asked nervously "im trying to remember who else will be showing up. being a batpony id hate to give the wrong impression about us is all"

"You could follow me back to my house I guess, and the other ponies that are coming are Spellbind, Aqualine Sea Splash, Sunny Melody, Midnight Rose, and maybe Caliber(or violet), Ice Blizzard, and one other. I really hope they come soon..." She said as she flew off the cloud. "C'mon, I'll take you back to my house" she said as he started flying back in the direction of it

flying back with LS cresent racked his brain if he's herd or ran into the ponies his friend mentioned, he herd of Caliber and Ice blizerd before from somewhere as for the others he's never herd of. "I gusse we'll just see who shows up" thinking outloud. but relaxing all the same. Once they entered the festive looking house cresent looked around for a good spot to sleep while he still had first dibs

"so where you want my stuff? have my bag, some gear and pasta fixings if we get hungry/borad" he said

"Just place your sleeping bag wherever, just try not to block anything" she also heard him mention pasta, "aw yea! Pasta. Let me get the pot out just in case we make it" she disappeared into the kitchen and returned about a minute later. "So, ya wanna have some fun food competitions ehile we wait?" She asked him, then tossed a Cheeto up into the air, and then caught it in her mouth

cresent laughed tossing aside the bag then reaching for the box of noodels with his teeth. pulling his head out of the bag setting the box down he said "ha ha! your on what dose you belly have in mind?" he said grinning kind of like rainbow dashed being challenged to a race looking forward to what the mare had in mind

"Actually....how does a race sound to you?" She asked him, grinning. "I want to see how fast you can go, unless you're not up for the challenge...." She started stretching her wings just in case he accepted her challenge, then she popped another Cheeto in her mouth for a little bit of strength

cresents wings spread open getting himself ready "the flight over hear gave a good warm up. Id say a race is something iv been needing for awhile anyways, any particular place or first one to get tired?" the batpony answered wondering what type of cheeto the mare was eating.

"How about a race from here to the everfree forest and back" she said, starting to walk out the door. "Oh wait!" She ran to the kitchen, then ran back out with a piece of paper and a pen in her mouth, she wrote on it 'doing a race, will be back shortly' and taped it to the outside of the door just in case anyone else came while she was out. "Alright, let's go." She said, walking out the door

LS looked over her shoulder to make sure he was coming. "C'mon, what're you waiting for crescent? Lets go!" she said excidetly, flying back towards him, then started to push him to the door a little bit, she was really eager to face, especially considering it was one of her favorite things to do

Cresent smiled at the pushing, making him laugh. "ok ok" he said inbetween laughs 

"just be carful what you asked for"

 he winked then took off with a powerful flush of his wings hearing an bird get surprised by the sudden gust. He listened back behind him for LS's blood beat, she was behind him and gaining fast he wondered if it was wing power or she was using her electric powers with this race something told him he would find out soon

LS also took off with him, her mane flowing back in the wind, and her cerulean (with a yellow zig zag stripe) backtrail was going behind her, she was catching up to him pretty fast. "You're not bad crescent" she called out to him, "but are you fast enough to beat me?" She said, almost behind him

Cresent smiled he turned around praticly flying backwards keeping eye contact but still ahead ,barley ahead if he didn't do this next bit right "that depends, you holding back still? I know that yellow and blue aint all show!" he called back smilling.

 

Cresent admitted he too wanted to see how fast she was, he hadn't felt this good in awhile not only that but having an racer he could challenge himself with would be just the break he needed from the night whether job of his.

"We'll you might get to see a little show if I get goin fast enough" she thought it was cool how he was flying backwards, "how'd ya learn to do that trick?" She asked him. She wanted to learn how to do it as well. "It's really AWESOME" she added, picking up her speed just in case he did a sudden burst of speed which would leave her in the dust

Cresent smiled all the more "tell you what lets make this interesting" said the batpony getting an idea knowing its now or never on the back flying "beat me and ill show you" he then glanced down surprised how close they were to the forest already. He spun around facing forward now and started a dive towards on of the trees.

 

his dive was cut short but plunging into a cloud he didn't expect would be right under him obscuring his vision. he pulled up to find the blue mare ahead of him. He made an mental note when to and not to try that stunt again he caught up to the blue mare

 

"well there's one way you don't do that" he said smiling

She was smiling at the fact that he ran into a cloud and that she was ahead of him...and if she won he would teach her how to fly backwards..so it was a win-win. "Ya see, this is why u gotta fly forward, so you know what's in front of you" she called back over her shoulder

Facing forward now, Cresent was abel to catch up again "I agree its not the best way to fly but I do know one thing" he took a listen to her blood beat, she wasn't even sweating, time to turn things up. "never doubt your instincts"

he flatend his ears getting his boddy as areo dynamic as possible shooting past her again. his eyes closed listening for an humming sound, if anything to indicate she was going to pull an thunder boom. He's herd about how Rainbow dash can do an rainboom and other pegisi with elemental magic like this one could do an miny version of that, this was his way to see if that's true with this one

She picked up her speed once more, she was almost next to him. "This would probably be a little better if we had an audience don't cha think crescent?". They were getting really close to the forest. "So....what'll happen if you win?" She asked curiously. "Do I have to teach you something....?"

Cresent opened his eyes hearing the mare close by dogging an cloud hearing about the audience bit

"shouldn't be too hard make a big  enough sound ponys will flock"

As to the teaching bit, it was an good question, "i'll think about it" he said looking back with an smile, the real question that came up was in his head was

'here I'm actually going my fastest and you can still keep up?' then it dawned on him the electric powers.

 

No, he considered it to personal to ask the mare do to nopony asking him about blood magic yet, plus it seemed rude.   

 

He was then realizing he was running out of energy as the woods approached, he cursed himself for his lack of patience on the way to the woods he should be using this energy on the way back. He began to slow down and soon found himself even with the mare in terms of speed "how about you tell me about your cutimark story?"

(I actually never came up with her cutie mark story, ice thought about it before but I've never came up with anything :/) "well I guess I got it because I'm really fast and maybe one day...I was in a situation where I was up against something and then a storm cloud appeared above my head an lightning flashed from it...." (That's what I just came up with)

He flew into another cloud this one seemed thinker then the last one he tryed to wiggel and fight his way out. Yet no flying for this batpony he blushed at the new perdicerment feeling slightly embarresed, he finally stopped struggling when he found out how far in the cloud he was when he could barley hear LS's blood beat through the cloud he asked for help loudly hopping it wouldnt get muffeled

"C'mon man, you should've learned to watch where you're going the first time this happened" he said quietly to herself.
