I need a little help with my Oc

I got everything for my OC but the backstory. It weird, I'm good at stories, but this OC won't open up, figuratively, What I mean is that my other OC's backstory comes to me, but this one won't.

Name: Feeder

Personality: kinda shy, doesn't like to see anypony in pain, friendly, talks in a whisper, mostly wear a hat and a coat, & is mostly prepared for anything

Cutie Mark: red cross with four hearts

Age around 20

Appearance: light aqua blue skin, brown messy style hair, always a little sad pale green eye

Backstory: ? 

So could I get a little help with the backstory

Around 20 years ago he was born. At some time later in his life he earned his cutie mark.

I was thinking of like a sad thing happens, then can't stand to see ponies in pain, & always prepared. I think he will be a little younger, say like 13-19, age is wavering right now. But medical is good, but, for me, it needs a why to it, I did research, the cutie mark is of first-aid

Just grasping at straws here but perhaps like a fire or an earthquake or something injured somebody and the only way he could think to do that was with first-aid. Like I said not too good with backstories.

Hm, I never thought about a fire, or earthquake, maybe a fire that consumed a life, so he decide to help any pony no matter what.

 Well I guess it really depends on how much motivation you think he needs. It could be something as simple as just injuries or something as severe as the aforementioned "consumption of life" either way it could work depending on how you feel it needs to go.

A word of caution, though I don't know exactly how your OC's cutie mark looks, Nurse Redheart's mark is a cross with four hearts as well. I suggest having a mark that doesn't look like hers, maybe a cross and then two hearts overlapping behind it? Take my advice with a grain of salt though, it's just an idea.

 

I think a good backstory would be if your OC witnessed a pony close to them getting an injury, as stated above, and Feeder is so upset about it, but he still does everything he can to help because he deeply cares for his loved one. When he realizes that he was able to save that pony's life, even when his emotions were running high, he gets his mark. He realizes that he has a passion for giving medical care to others and becomes a doctor/nurse/something related to health care. I don't even think you would have to add a tragic event for him.

Hm, never thought about that, if I do it that way, I wouldn't have to worry about it getting taken it off, happened once to my other three. I think I can add where is home was.
