Electrobolt looked at Midnight with a confused look shown on his face when he was asked the question. "Huh? What... Do you mean...?" he asked, confused. He had not realized Midnight was referring to what Lovely had mentioned earlier.

minight shook his head, "never mind," he lay his head down on the back of electros neck and smiled watching lovely and cloud for a moment, before kissing electros cheek and reaching over him and looking through a few books that lay on the ground.

"any that.." he stopped as a wave of pane hit him, then shook his head, "catch your eye?"

Electrobolt stopped for a bit as he looked at the books on the ground. "Hmm..." he muttered, looking at them, seeing if any caught his interest. "No... None really stand out to me right now... How about you...? Do you see anything you'd like?"

midnight shook his head, "no...b-but theres a book in my room," he smiled "in my saddlebag, its a daring do book."

he smiled "i-i enjoy those books, like you, they make me feel better in any situation." he blushed a bright rose red and kept his muzzle hidden.

Overdrive felt a warm body stir in his arms. He cracked his eyes open and blinked several times to unblur his vision. He felt the body stir again and looked down to see Schwartz blushing deeply. <uh oh, did I get too close? Im making her uncomfortable> he thought with embarrassment. "sorry about that schwartz. Didn't mean to make you uncomfortable. I can just go sleep on the couch, if you want me to". He began to wriggle free of the covers.

 

"No, no, its okay, this is, comforting."

*She blushed a bit more.*

"This is the first time since the accident that I havent had nightmares."

Electrobolt felt as if his face was on fire when he heard Midnight say what he did. Letting out a slight chuckle, he asked, "Well... I could go and get the book for you... I-if you want me to, that is... W-would you like that...?"

Midnight smiled and blushed, nosing electrobolts neck again "y-yes....p-please."

he couldnt help it, the way he was feeling, it was diffrent but not unwelcome, he just smiled, its been what he was wanting for awhile, somepony to share his feelings with, and he finally had a special somepony.

*She blushed a bit more.*

"O-oh, okay then." Overdrive tried his best to keep his face deadpan as he worked his way back under the covers. "Do you still, erm, want me to..." He trailed off, a blush forming on his cheeks, "...Hold you?"

"Um, a-alright..." Elecrobolt said as he got up, but not before slipping in a kiss. "I'll be right back..." With that, he began to walk towards Midnight's room, looking around to see if he can find Midnight's saddlebag to get the book. "Now, where is it..." he muttered to himself.

Midnight layed his head down on a pillow laying there and looking peaceful waiting for electrobolt to return, he winced as his body spasmed causing the bones in his wing to move and cause more pain.

"buck buck buckity buck." he was swearing like a sailor in his own mind, no use voicing it, it wouldnt really help, he breathed and layed his head back down.

*She said. She blushed again as she cuddled up closer to Overdrive.*

"It's, ah, no problem" Overdrive smiled softly and wrapped his arms around her, giving her a gentle squeeze. "I'm glad I can help a friend in need." He slowly stroked the back of her mane "It could just be the comfy bed getting rif of those nightmares, though"

After looking around for a bit, Electrobolt finally found Midnight's saddlebag. Opening the bag, he immediately saw the book. Taking it out and closing the saddlebag without further rummaging through because he valued other ponies' privacy, he began to hurry back to Midnight. Once he got back, he sat the book next to Midnight before rejoining him on the couch. "I'm back," he spoke in a hushed tone, giving Midnight another kiss.

midnight looked up, showing he had been crying a bit, but kisses back softly, "t-thank you."

wiping away the tears he flipped open the book to where he left off, the tilted his head, "umm, im just curious, your note said you were going somewhere?" he looked electrobolt in the eyes, a curious look to his own "where were you going?"

"Oh, that..." Electrobolt said, letting out a small sigh. "I... I was thinking about my parents... I hadn't seen them for a while, and... I thought they would be worried about me..." Looking away for a moment, he added, "They don't even know about us... Being together, I mean... I... I just don't know what they might think..." He closed his eyes for a moment, as he let out another sigh. "I still wanted to see them, though... Let them know I was doing alright... But then... Well, I guess you know what happened, then..."

midnight nuzzled electrobolts cheek "w-well, i-if you wanted me t-to come with you..... w-when you do" he whispered shyly "i-i could....i-im not doing anything." he went to chuckle but winced.

"a-ahhh," he then smiled, knowing it might have surprised electro "heh, pain is just the bodys way of letting you know its still alive."

"I-if you... Don't mind, I... I'd like that..." Electrobolt responded, feeling worried when he saw Midnight in pain. "But... You should heal up first... I... I don't want you worse off than you are now..." He then began to massage Midnight's body softly, hoping to ease any of the pains he was feeling, even if only a little bit.

"um, yeah, I guess. Just suprised is all". He fired off another one of his trademark smiles. "you weren't planning on going back to sleep, right?"

"midnight smiled, "tommorrow, i promise ill be up to it alright? i just want your parents to understand, how both of us feel about each other." as electro started to message his body midnight smiled and began reading, it felt really really good, though he was a bit tickleish in places but he stayed still and smiled.

"um, yeah, I guess. Just suprised is all". He fired off another one of his trademark smiles. "you weren't planning on going back to sleep, right?"

 

"Nah, Im getting hungry. Lets go get some food."

*She said with a smile of her own.*

Smiling, Electrobolt replied, "Alright, tomorrow it is then." As he continued to massage Midnight, he heard him say he was really good at it. Chuckling, he asked, "You think so, huh? To be honest, this is actually the first time doing this. Good to know I'm doing a good job at it." He stopped for a moment as he leaned in to give another kiss to Midnight before resuming the massage.

midnight smiled and returned the kiss, "your first time huh? mabey you have two special talents." he smiled and held back a giggle,

"im now excited to meet your parents, what are they like?" he cocked an ear back looking up from the book making sure he was paying attention.
