Mist almost couldn't move at first. He just stood there. Then Steel flew past him in the direction the monster went. The sight of Steel broke Mist out of his state. Suddenly anger and determination came over him, "Sparkle!" he shouted, "I'm coming for you!" Mist ran, following the blood trail left by Steel.

The monster looked at the new arrival and swung its claw around heading for his face the claw had significantly less power but a direct hit could cause some serious damage to the pony taking the hit. Sparkle began to fade in and out of consciousness she was injured more than a pile of sharp rocks had done to her several cuts crossed her face and legs (this is where I die) she thought (I'm so damn stupid if I just left when Steel told me to I wouldn't be here!) She couldn't move she was stuck waiting for the inevitable

Following the blood trail Mist soon came to a lake. He frantically looked around but couldn't see Sparkle. Mist's eyes fell about the monster and rage filled his system. Mist charged towards the beast, shouting a fierce battle cry as his did. With his sword drawn Mist leapt up a stabbed the monster in the eye. He landed and ran over to Steel, "Steel I think I've managed to disorientate the beast for a while." he said trying to catch his breath, "I'm gonna stay and find Sparkle, you need to go back to the cabin. The monster retreated it needed to feed. A pony a rare sight in the mines began to drag Sparkle away. She was covered in blood and water and leaving a wet trail behind her.

The pony brought her into a room filled with hooks from when the miners used to hang their tools now they were holding dead bodies being hung by the tail. He hung her on a vacant one to dry and left her alone.

 

As Mist frantically looked around for Sparkle he saw the monster carrying something into it's lair. Mist spotted the trail that was left behind and instantly knew what it was carrying. It was Sparkle. Mist raced off, following the trail. Soon he came to a room filled with dead ponies on hooks. It was a horrifying sight, but what was most horrifying was seeing Sparkle on one of those hooks. Mist got Sparkle off the hook and carried her out of the room. Mist saw Steel, "Steel," he shouted, "I've got Sparkle', and the monster is distracted. Lets get back to the cabin before he becomes not distracted." Mist began walking to the cabin. He looked down at Sparkle, "I don't know if you can hear me," he whispered to her, "but I'm here now, everything's gonna be okay." As Mist said this a tear drop fell down his face.

Steel followed the beast ignoring mist he seen where it carried sparkel and followed it and most looking around he seen a bright Crimson mane that he knew instantly he walked over to it "Grell wake up" he whispered

Grell opened his eyes them glowing a dark Marron "hey steel"he said

As Mist frantically looked around for Sparkle he saw the monster carrying something into it's lair. Mist spotted the trail that was left behind and instantly knew what it was carrying. It was Sparkle. Mist raced off, following the trail. Soon he came to a room filled with dead ponies on hooks. It was a horrifying sight, but what was most horrifying was seeing Sparkle on one of those hooks. Mist got Sparkle off the hook and carried her out of the room. Sparkle felt like she was dying the amount of blood rushing to her head made it so her heart had to beat faster and faster and then, then it changed the blood began to spread back out and began circulating again. Somepony had brought her back from the brink of death...

 

The tear fell onto Sparkle's forehead and she moved her head slightly she wasn't going to open her eyes as she assumed that she was becoming a slightly earlier than midnight snack.

Mist had told Sparkle it was gonna be alright, but he honestly didn't know if it was true. Mist had never seen a pony in worse shape. She had opened her eyes slightly "i...I can't go on like this" her breathing slowed down until it eventually, stopped "good........by............" In fact I...I don't think she's gonna make it. There's a medical kit near the couch and I need you to try and save her. Or if you can't save her then." Mist hesitated to finish the sentence. "then I need you to notify her family." Mist walked past Lily and was about to walk through the crack when he stopped, "as for myself, I have a monster to slay. I'm gonna avenge Sparkle or join her" Mist said nothing else as he flew through the crack and he continued to say nothing as he flew towards the monster's lair.

Mist stopped dead in his tracks, tears falling down from his eyes. "No, no you can't leave me. You have to fight Sparkle. You just have to." Mist flew even faster towards the cabin. He would save Sparkle, it didn't matter what it would take but he would save her.

Sparkle lay there she wasn't breathing but her heart was still beating slowly but she managed to speek her last sentance "tell my son... I love hi...m " then it stopped there was still chance an electrical shock could restart it but there wasn't much time

 

The monster was in the tool room eating the remaining bodies hanging on the hooks waiting for Mist.when the pony walked back in and was hit across the stomach by the monster's immense claw crippling him instantly

Steel and Grell had made it out of hook room Grell laughed watching the other pony run "had he left her here I could have saved her" he said to steel

Steel nodded "I know Grell but he's a fool and wouldn't have listened even if I told him that you could help"

Mist drew his sword, "and when you do face me know that I will be your end. You made the biggest mistake in your life by taking Sparkle from me and now you're gonna pay!"

Grell teleported to where sparkel lay "I summon the demon of eternal damnation" he said a demon appeared by his side as he began to pull lie firm it as he pumped life into sparkle "stay with me missy your stallion friend isn't thinking straight" he said as he began to work on patching up the wounds

Steel looked at the beast and pulled out his sword "it's time you learn what a demon can do" he said

Mist got up, ignoring the searing pain. He couldn't let this monster live. Not after what it did to Sparkle. Mist spat some blood from his mouth and stared at the monster, "that the best you got?" he asked exhausted. Mist picked up his sword, gathered all of his strength and charged towards the beast.

The monster had turned towards Steel and picked up a large rock from the corner of the room. It raised it above its head and got ready to throw it towards Steel

 

Sparkle had regained some of her ability to speak "t...thank you" she didn't have much of a vocabulary but she could get basic points across.

Grell nodded "keep quite dear you need your energy" he said ((oh he also has aura of evil))

Steel sent a bolt of fire at the beast mists negitive emotions had healed steel and he was back at his top game he took flight and went above the beast and dove his sword aimed at the back of its neck

"Yes, okay mr other creepy guy" Sparkle went back to looking at the ceiling she was quite for a couple of minutes until a roar reminded her that there was a monster on the lose she looked around hoping to see Mist "Mist? Oh no. Mr creepy guy I need you to tell me something where's Mist?"

 

The monster roared and kicked in pain it tried to scrape Steel off on the wall trying to fight back

Grell shrugged "I'm not sure but be quite as no you're not going any where miss not in this condition"Grell said "or I'll take back the life I have given you"

Sparkle sighed she mays well do what he told her as she'd be more use alive then dead sometimes she felt like it was the other way around.

 

The monster was nearing death it stumbled around for a bit and then fell towards Mist it no longer had the strength to fight not even all the bodies in the room could heal its wounds

Mist saw his opportunity to finish the creature once and for all. As the creature fell Mist swung his sword and hit the creatures neck. When the beast hit the ground h

its neck bled over the ground. Mist stood back and smiled. He turned to Steel. "Thanks Steel," he said, "couldn't have done it with out you."

Steel nodded "yeah come on let's go get sparkle and tell her the east is dead" he said

Grell kept working "now take it slow your stable with out my help but your wounds are very serious fatale to be exact" Grell said "and my name is Grell" he added as he dismissed the demon that was beside him

"okay," said Mist glumly as he remembered the state the monster left her in. Mist flew back up to the cabin and immediately saw some one he didn't recognise. "Who are you?" he asked, "and how did you get in here." Mist looked to the couch and saw that Sparkle was up. Mist couldn't believe his eyes which were now filling with tears of joy. "Sparkle you're alive. I can't believe it. I..I thought I lost you." Mist turned to the stranger, "you did this didn't you. You saved Sparkle. Thank you. You can't know how much this means to me."

Grell shrugged "it's fine but you owe me now you both do" he said "I'm Grell a demon prince of hell steel is my henchman" Grell said "his family owes me a lot"

Steel flew to the cabin and landed by Grell staying silent he wasn't to fond of Grell but he was very powerful
