Short Pony Poetry [14 Poems]

Idk, I felt really writey today apparently.

Poetry isn't something I do much, but recently I've had a bit more interest in it.

I'm not really even sure if these are good? I mean they're good in the artistic form

but are they well written, I do not know. I don't read poetry just have a general idea

as to how it is supposed to function.

 

So, here are 7 short poems. If you want, let me know which you like best.

 

 

Brilliance and knowledge of subjects far-flung

She spent so long having not known true fun

When challenge had faced her her biggest doubt

Was finding friendship then living without

 

 

Stout of heart and strong to work

Honesty bound in fresh sown Earth

Blood may be what matters most

But friends are family, her solemn oath

 

 

Beauty is truly her one desire

Her work is art and skill transpires

The greatest piece she'll ever make

Is friendship made in every face

 

 

For her, tricks and games are all worth playing

Keep all involved and smiles staying

For all have times where sadness strikes

Friends with all keeps all alright

 

 

She may be lazy but never late

Flies straight through destinys gate

No matter what lies in hidden state

Loyalty and friendship will never wait

 

 

Kind and caring she flutters in

Clears the mind of peril and sin

Friend to all who live and breath

Friend to all sky, land or sea

 

 

 

Strength in numbers together six stand.

As challenges face them throughout this land

Disorder or evil

Harmony and light

Together forever

Friendship for life

 

 

[Edit] Alrighty, people seem to have liked these lil' poems so I tried to see if I could make 7 more.

Long story short, success. Like previously, can you guess the topic of each one? Which do you

like and which need work? Also, more?

 

 

Light and radiance from body seeps

Watching over kingdom and keep

Harmony and guidance she gives to all

Lives within us, one and all

 

 

Dark to dawn in nightly stride

Run from fears you can not hide

Try and find her, aid and seek

Let her enter, clear-cut dream

 

 

True to heart is no race

Find your love and find you place

Magic forms in hearts space

Mind and body, smile on face

 

 

Hearts together three shall form

Small in size but hard to scorn

Art or science skills will find

Place and purpose in our minds

 

 

Tries her best and works so hard

Place seems certain but so far

Family ties just not enough

In her time she'll show her stuff

 

 

Sky above too far to reach

Seems so close but can not breach

Stretch your wings, no need to fly

Do one's best and still go high

 

 

Art and style in her face

Art herr own is hard to trace

Magic bound but skill uncertain

Spell set free, unveils her curtain

Thank you for sharing your poetry with us!  You seem to have a natural gift for writing.  If I recall correctly, you said that you don't write much, but this was a pleasure to read.  Perhaps that's because it's about the protagonists of my favorite TV show xD.  I liked that even though you didn't state any of the Mane 6's names or mention the Elements of Harmony, you worded it out so that it is easy to tell who you are talking about in each stanza. 1 - Elements of Harmony; 2 - Twilight Sparkle; 3 - Applejack; 4 - Rarity; 5 - Pinkie Pie; 6 - Rainbow Dash; 7 - Fluttershy.  Keep up the good writing; you, sir, are talented!

MLP characters (especially the main six) are pretty easy to do because there personalities are all to the extreme.

Which makes it hard to confuse one characteristic for many characters. Rarities bothers me a bit and I plan to tweak it.

And ya, making each one identifiable without just telling you who it was was definitely part of the fun. The only one that get

close to telling you is Fluttershy's XD

 

But other then that, challenge accepted and I made 7 more of these.
