Is the december Caterlot Wedding comic a reboot?

Nothing is on the amazon store page and this book is only 2 months away from release. Is there any official information on whether or not the season 2 finale is being rebooted in comic format? I know many hated the season 2 finale. I only know amazon calls it an adaptation. So what do you think? I am happy, we're going back to the days of pre alicorn Twilight and the elements of harmony for this one moment.

Not sure I've heard about this, but I know there are already at least a couple MLP graphic novels from IDW that seem to basically be straight-up adaptations of existing episodes (like Return of Harmony). So "reboot" may not be the right word, more like... novelization? Cept instead of a novel it's an IDW comic.

A waste of money ifd it's the same story. I mean really IDW? It better be something new Especially since that's an episode where everyone hated the ending. I see this as a good chance to retcon Chrysalis. it's 128 pages long, I hope they don't waste it.

Howdy all!

 

I have the first volume of the animated novel (Covers FIM Part 1 & 2 of the Series Debut)

And I liked it but IDW did skipped on a few scenes.

 

For Example

 

Applejack's introducing the Apple Family at the end Granny Smith's line was cut.

(She wakes up and sez soups on)

 

When Nightmare Moon arrived at the town hall Pinkie's guessing who she is was cut.

 

Pinkie's Giggle At The Ghosties was cut.

(Not sure why it was funny)

 

So I'm a bit weary in getting Canterlot Wedding Part 1 & 2 in Novel format.

(If This Day Aria is cut i'll be soo  )
