Hi, I am Draldeld...I'm 14 and I've been a brony for about a month now.

 

I first heard about it several months back when a friend of mine started telling me about the show, and that Generation 4 was much better than other generations. Previously, I had seen lots of pictures/memes from the show on some yoyo forums I had been a part of for years. So, I was not turned away from the idea of MLP. Unfortunately, though, I never thought of actually watching the show for myself.

 

I decided to watch the first episode, to see how bad it was, then with shock I realized the quality of the show. I kept this from my family for a day, after which I could hold it no more. (So now my whole family knows I am obsessed with ponies) I got caught up to the show two weeks later, and since then I have converted my sister, my best friend, and 3 other friends to Bronies.

 

I found MLP forums shortly after I became a brony, and I have been stalking the forums ever since. So, I decided to join to contribute.

 

So hai. <-- these are amazing smileys.

 

OH and Fluttershy is best pony. Struggling whether or not to keep my normal internet name (Draldeld) or use my steam name (Fluttershy's Homie)...

Thank you! My sister was converted to a pegasister when my family found out I was a brony...my dad and my sister decided to watch the first episode together. My sister loved it, my dad still hated it (he can't get past his memory of the old 80's cartoon, apparently.) I'm glad at least one person definitely has a brony story similar to mine, although it does seem like it would be common.

I'm so sorry...that's terrible. I hope and pray that a working cure will be found for it. I personally do not know anybody in my family that is autistic and I can't imagine how difficult it would be.
