Chapter 1: Heroes awaken

 

Storm Cloud

Hailing from the cold isle of an archipelago across the sea, Stormcloud lived the nomad's life.  She travelled from village to town, from town to city, absorbing knowledge she had never known and telling stories of warriors, hunters, mystics, and nature spirits to those who would listen.  Just as she was preparing to return home, the great war broke out.  Believing that Equestria's foes could follow her back home, she stayed, fully expecting to get killed.  But then a peculiar light saved her from death's door, granting her a strange power in the process.  From that moment on, she was able to communicate with souls of the dead, enabling her to receive their aid.  No pony knows what fate had found her, for she disappeared shortly after a battle that nearly decimated the forest it was fought in.  The winds that travel through ruins sometimes seem linger there like a guardian and push back ne'er-do-wells as if the winds were arrows.

 

 

 

Gem Sharpener

While studying Weapon Enchantment. Gem finds ancient combinations and compounds for spells. These combinations and compounds haven't be formed correctly ever as far as knowledge goes. 

 

Many nowadays think these combinations and compounds and the powerful spells they give are impossible and just made up.

But sparked with curiosity. Gem proceeds to create these compounds and get ready to chant the necessary words. But nothing happened.

Suddenly his hooves started to glow. He touch the roosting hot compounds which surprisingly didn't hurt.

 

The compounds began to let out smoke depending on what color they were.

His cutie mark started to shine and the smoke cleared leaving a note on the table. he quickly picked up this note "Chosen one. We have planned your arrival with these spells from the beginning. You've got a long road ahead of you. But don't be afraid your light and your power to use elements to your advantage will get you past even the most magical beings."

 

Lightning Blade

Lightning Blade, as a guard, fought the war in the frontlines, eager to serve the princesses and his nation.  However, he was not prepared for how much bloodshed and atrocities that would be committed by the enemy.  Seeing this, he vowed to make the enemy pay for their crimes.  During one battle, the commander of his squad was killed and the rest of the soldier were hugely outnumbered.  However, Lightning took command, and with his sword fighting skills, as well and the rage and willpower deep within his heart, they were able to win the battle.  However, Lightning Blade himself went missing, and most ponies believed him to be dead.  There are those who were on his team, though, who believe that his spirit is still very much alive, determined to protect Equestria and destroy the evil brought by the enemy.

 

Sappy Lappy

Sappy grew up in the proud dragon clan known as the Crimson claws. You could easily tell he was a member because his spikes and claws where red. This dragon clan focused on more violent aspects of the dragon nature, such as fighting in big tournaments against other dragon clans. Sappy didn't like violence, so he decided to become in depended. Sappy enjoyed seeing new things, and learning about cultures. So he explored all of equestria. Visiting every place he could on the world. He found a dragon clan not far away from the griffon kingdom. This clan had more sophisticated dragons, that focused on the noble aspect of the dragon. This please him a lot, so he joined. Since then he travelled all of equestria every hundred years, to learn the developments of culture. But of all the places he visited, he despised the changelings. They where brutish and evil when he arrived, compared to the other places. So he never visits them anymore. Sappy has a giant cave, which is literally a library filled with cultural knowledge. He updates it every 100 years. Celeste calls him: The cultural guardian. 

 

 

 

A pony was looking at these four heroes. Their bodies where long gone. The pony took out an orb. Inside the orb where these 4 heroes. Standing tall and proud. She shook the orb, and the image was replaced with their death. She looked down at the graves "It's time to stand tall heroes. Equestria needs you" Said the pony. Her voice majestic, and smooth. A light struck each individual grave, and their bodies slowly began to materialize. The pony quickly teleported away. She reappeared in a room that wasn't visible to the naked eye. She observed as the heroes began to become more and more whole. "Save equestria. Show them that you are the beating heart of equestria!" Shouted the pony, and with a final burst, the heroes where back to live...

 

Sappy opened his eyes, and looked around him, he noticed that his fellow warriors where alive and well without any injuries. "This is quite strange. How come we are still alive? I could have sworn we got stabbed and burned to death by fire wraiths" Said Sappy as he looked at himself. Suddenly a glowing pony appeared before them. "Greetings hearts of equestria" Greeted the pony

The realization of his regained consciousness crossed Lightning Blade's mind as he slowly opened his eyes. He felt that something was wrong, like he shouldn't be here. This was perfectly understandable, as he had been dead for years. Lightning Blade could feel everything returning to him at once, and as he noticed the glowing pony, his instinct told him to go for his sword, only to find it missing.

 

"Who are you? What's going on? Why am I here?" inquired Lightning Blade as he stared at the glowing pony in awe. "The last thing I remember is fighting in a battle and nothing beyond that. Am I dead? How is this happening?"

Monday (7:00 pm)

 

Gem after just getting back from his lessons with the local witch doctor.  He quickly rushed to study. He tried to create a compound that had it's name scribble out.....Having the most important compound rubbed out.....He ended up blowing up half his apartment. Suddenly his vision went blurry expecting it to come back. 

 

He wasn't worrying. But eventually it went completely white.

 

"What?.............W-w.....Do I still feel my body. I'm I having a out of body experience." Gem looked around he could hear others asking similar question but couldn't see them "What has happened to me.....N-n...........I can't die now........................If you think your taking my body to the dead.................YOU WILL BE MISTAKEN!!!!!!!!!!!" he proceeds to pull out a knife he made that had a basic fire bullet spell attached to it.

 

And proceeds to get ready to fight.

 

(This plot is just a misunderstanding......I know about the revival thing.......But my character is quick to presume things)

Stormcloud shook herself off.  Her tail whipped on the ground and she instinctively positioned her hooves so that she didn't stumble.  A lesson from a time long past.  She spoke to herself with disbelief, in a language that came from a distant land.  "By the spirits, how...?  Did I not join my ancestors?"  

 

The kirin stared a long while at her hoof, then silently turned to face the glowing pony.  The others took the words out of her mouth, so she simply waited for an answer.

The glowing pony looked at the heroes "You may be wondering how you are all alive, and who i am. So let's start with who i am." The pony took a proud stance "I'm kindred. I decide who dies, and who lives in equestria, and you three have been brought back to life. You need to warn equestria of a war. The fire wraiths are back" Said Kindred

 

 

Sappy's eyes widened "Fire wraiths? But i thought we defeated them" Said the gentledrake

The glowing pony looked at the heroes "You may be wondering how you are all alive, and who i am. So let's start with who i am." The pony took a proud stance "I'm kindred. I decide who dies, and who lives in equestria, and you three have been brought back to life. You need to warn equestria of a war. The fire wraiths are back" Said Kindred

 

 

Sappy's eyes widened "Fire wraiths? But i thought we defeated them" Said the gentledrake

"Wait......Do you truly think that's enough information......Just "I thought we defeated them" and we need to prevent a war.......How can we trust you...........Even the brightest of ponies can have dark hearts."

 

Gem takes a breath "I'm going to presume. You mean good. Let me ask you some simple questions. What are these people what have they done?......  Why did you choose us in particular? And do you know the ancients who left me that message. That said they had planned for my arrival for ages?"

"The fire wraiths...are back?" Lightning Blade slowly lowered himself to the ground and stared at the floor, lost in thought. It wasn't possible. It couldn't be possible! If it were true, then it meant that everything that Lightning fought for, everything he DIED for, was about to be undone...

 

He thought for a moment, and as he thought he gradually made up his mind. He made a vow to protect Equestria and make the wraiths pay. He looked up at Kindred, and a smile slowly spread on his face.

 

"So, you need us to warn Equestria of a war? How do we do that? Last time any pony checked, we were dead. How do we prove who we are to the ponies of Equestria?"

Fire wraiths...  Those horrid creatures were burned into Stormcloud's memories.  She remembered shooting down what seemed like endless numbers of those fiends.  She remembered coming to bodies of Equestrians, hearing their ghosts and soothing them, so that they may join their ancestors who resided beyond this mortal realm.

 

And she remembered what was in her mind her sacrifice in the name of family.

So with everything in mind, she felt the need to speak up.  "One question at a time, all of you.  I am not sure who here can handle too much information at once.  And many questions at once can be... quite a burden."  The almost deathly-pale kirin looked at Kindred with soft, yet expectant eyes, silently waiting for answers.

"Yeah what's going on...............Explain yourself.............." "But if you try anything!" He stopped for a second and thought to himself (I will never get the answers I want if I keep saying stuff........Maybe trusting her for now would be the best option) He goes quite waiting for a reply.
