"wheres sparkle, im about to activate the defense's" said the bat leading James through the tunnel that found its way back into his tree house. He looked outside seeing Sparkle by one of the bush's by his window. he poked his head out

 

"oi in here" Once Sparkle was inside the house via window, he closed it the window

 

"you remember me saying how paranoid I am, well this is why you don't bite a bat" Cresent went upstairs to his trap system. It resembeled half keybord half levers everywhere. In front of it was a window overlooking the Forrest. In the distance James was right about the lights on how far they were. Pulling a lever to the bat right a loud "FWOOSH!" was herd with smoke filling the area where the lights were.

 

"Water vapor just enough for a fog nothing harmful unless" began Cresent which was cut off by a crash herd where the fog was

 

"ok they didn't see that one coming but its all right" Cresent pulled the lever to his right again the opposite way. He pressed a button in front of him and spoke into a mic that was hooked up near the fogged tree line.

 

"turn baaaack" cresent said into the mic which on the other end sounded completely different from his usual voice. The voice changer made him sound like a banshee. He paused waiting for the reponse from the forrest. Cresent was hopping these cops were superstitious enough to have the change there pants now after hearing that

 

"What the?" One of the cops said noticing the fog. "Hey what's that!?" The other said looking at the house. "Surely we should stay away from the creepy voice? " the first one said "naw besides when did reversing do anypony anything good?" The two cops got out the car and walked over to the door. "Excuse us? But may we come in?" One of them knocked on the door whilst the other coward behind. The braver one looked in the window and could only see James who was still in disguise. "Woah lookie here... Are you still sure you don't want in? " he winked at his partner who was still hiding

"What the?" One of the cops said noticing the fog. "Hey what's that!?" The other said looking at the house. "Surely we should stay away from the creepy voice? Cresent herd the knock "who in the hey" he went down stairs trying to work out if he should pull a lever or not then seeing a cop at the door, who seemed to be having some eye candy on James. "James, the door" he tried not to look worried, actually this could work to their advantage. waving at the door with a smile holding a hoof up to single one moment to the cop

"Uhh. Okay. C'mon Sparkle" James said as the two of them walked to the door.

 

Now both stallions were looking through the window "wait there's two of them!? Pinch me I'm dreaming".

 

James opened the door " hello? " both Sparkle and James said at the same time. One of the stallions walked over." Good evening. We were hoping that we could stay here tonight until this damn fog clears. Surely a couple of beautiful mares such as your selves could use the company of two police officers? Cresent smiled at the situation of the two cops, as they were standing perfectly on one of cresent most favorit traps. After running upstairs a 2nd time out of eye sight of the cops he looked at his trap board and his window doing the math with his tounge out. He then herd the last of what the cop said about staying the night

a very small click was herd underneath the cops giving James and Sparkle enough time to react to the suddenness of the door mat the two ponys were standing on suddenly springing up and launching them skyword and back into the woods. The two cops landed somewhat softly in a pile of leaves. As one of them shook his head, the bravest of the two he herd a slight growl to his left similar to a timber wolf.....

What made him stop that thought was he was doing by all legal sense of the word murder, and he didn't want to kill them. He hoped he could make it in time not worrying about what he would say just hopping his actions alone would speak loud enough.

 

Seeing the car in front of the wolves as it was and Sparkle inside he new better then to jump in front of that, and it seemed to be working what ever Sparkle was thinking, seeing the two cops one completely passed out the other having a wrestling match with one of the wolves he jumped on the wolf being wrestled slamming the blade into the wolf's back neck.

The wrestling cop was surprised seeing a Biting Timberwolf interrupted by a blade jutting through its mouth. "What in the hey?" the cop thought out loud.

 

Cresent pulled the blade out moving the now dead wolf off the cop, the bat only wished Sparkle was doing fine as he looked at the cop wordlessly not really thinking on how to handle the cop

Did he just walk away after that? The bat pony decided to stop worrying about cops for the day and attend to the most needed thing. His blood or more of, holding his wing together for him to get home and have his blood drink...he then couldn't remember how many bottle he had left...he hoped it wasn't low enough to visit Zaccora.

Another reason for his place was he didn't want the hospital knowing he was a vampony as it would turn into a hunt right then and there. The blood drink was the closest magic the pony had with him to recover and as he drank the blood from his wings slowly stopped bleeding. After the first bottle was down cresent looked at his wing seeing the deep bite mark but no more blood slipping out. The bat pony went to his medicine cabinet pulling out medical tape and scissors...after which he paused...he never applied something like this to him self before

"point is im not surpised your still annoyed at that, and im sorry for getting you into this mess, I didn't want them to land by the wolfs" (stop lying bat your better then this) "I just wanted to keep you and Jame's out of the police line, how ever that started im not going to guess. It was ether launch them off or drug them and drop off somewhere"

Soon after Sparkle came back and unexpectedly found Crescent asleep. She picked him up and took him where she assumed the bedroom was. "Good morning Crescent." She gave him a slight kiss on the cheek and left the room. "Hey Jane" she said as she went back into it main room. "Sparkle this is my 'friend' " James said looking at the cop. "Umm...hello Sparkle" the cop said nervously. James and Sparkle sat either side of him on the couch and his face went entirely red

Then he stretched and yelped in the surprise pain. looking at his wing it all came back to him, breakfast, the greser's vs SOC, he cops, and timber wolfs. He also relized he was in bed, did he sleep trot himself over here? The batpony shrugged and thought nothing of it he decided to make his way towards his kitchen. wondering if Sparkle and James were still there.

The cop slowly let the mare down onto the couch as he got up, he looked out in the forest to see the fog had dissipated and it was now evening. "well j-jane thanks ag-again" the cop waved a hoof a James and made his way to the car and drove back through and out of the woods

 

Once the cop got back to his work place the station was in a mess walking in the door he herd his chief from the other side of the building "Shaaaakes?! get your flank over here now!" the cop gulped. He knew it wasn't going to be a easy night after the woods fiasco
