Which characters were Lauren Faust creation and which the new writers?

Seems like a silly question, but I am curious. I would like to know which characters she created and gave personalities too, and which ones were done by the new writers. Like for one, we see maud in season 4. We saw her in a season 1 flashback. Was the characters personality already created then, or did the new writers make her?

Any character between Seasons 1 and 2 were the work of Faust the people working with her. Any character introduced since 3 is the work of the current staff.

The Mane 6 were all created by Lauren Faust based on G1 characters. Since Hasbro lost the rights to most G1 characters except Spike and Applejack, they were given the names and altered color schemes from G3 ponies.

Princess Celestia was created by Faust as the "Queen", however her name was changed at the insistence of Hasbro marketing. The Apple Family was mostly a Faust creation, however Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo were added to the Cutie Mark Crusaders at Hasbro's insistence. It was originally only Apple Bloom, who was conceptually named "Appleseed". Big Mac was "Big Apple" and Sweet Apple Acres was named "Big Apple Orchard".

Discord and Princess Luna/Nightmare Moon (originally called Princess Selena) were present in early concept art by Faust, as was Gilda (as Grizelda).

Diamond Tiara was created by Meghan McCarthy but named and designed by Lauren Faust. Lauren also had an idea for Trixie's role in "Boast Busters", which was originally to be occupied by a male pony. However, episode writer Chris Savino defined the character's name and personality traits.

Any character that came in since "The Crystal Empire" is assumed to have been included without Faust's involvement, as she phased out of the show's production over the second season. She was only a creative consultant by the time "A Canterlot Wedding" came around, and left completely after that.
