Glike 488 December 10, 2015 Share December 10, 2015 We all know that MLP is one of the few cartoon series that allows it's characters to develop. What development have you seen in the characters, and how do you feel about it? For me: Twilight Sparkle- Come on, she was a shut-in. Now she's an Alicorn, Princess of Friendship, and has her own castle. Rainbow Dash- She had dreams of becoming a Wonderbolt, and now she's part of the reserves. That's a good step for her. Rarity- All of her business and public relations paid off. She has many celebrity clients, and now has another boutique in Canterlot. Fluttershy- She didn't get into a group, or get material things like the others, but she's seen tremendous growth. There are many times now where the shy part of her name is hardly applicable. Frightened? Yes. But that's not the same as being shy. She's become extremely social. Oh, and she's gained Discord and Tree Hugger as friends, so that's something. Applejack- Honestly, I can't think of much here, she's always been the most level-headed character. However, her newfound possible familial relationship with Pinkie Pie is a high point. Pinkie Pie- Once again, her relationship with AJ (personally, Season 5 has convinced me; currently they are my favorite duo). She's also had to face situations where she had to put aside her naturally silly behavior and be serious. So yeah, I'd say every character has come a long way from the start. What do you guys think? 3 Avatar by the lovely ChibiDashie and Signature by the wonderful Pinkamena Dianne Pie.
Pinkiest Pie 405 December 10, 2015 Share December 10, 2015 I agree with the points made in this thread, all very good points. I also think the new found AJ and PP duo is quite well. It is nice to see the characters evolve, like they have done since the first episode. You might know me as: NoSupport, ilovecats292, PinkiestPie. sweetolebob18 728 December 10, 2015 Share December 10, 2015 They've all grown & it's hard to say "Who's grown the most?" Pinkie started out, she couldn't define "consequences" if you spotted her a dictionary. But, she has grown a sense of responsibility. Baby Cakes (S2) Too Many Pinkies (S3) Pinkie's Pride (S4) She has evolved into Pinkie Lite & has shown some signs of maturity although she can still be a real troll (Milli Filli (S4))

She will definitely be missed. 2 Avatar by the lovely ChibiDashie and Signature by the wonderful Pinkamena Dianne Pie.
sweetolebob18 728 December 13, 2015 Share December 13, 2015 (edited) The other choice for Most Improved would be Rarity. In Season 1 she is a Total Diva & a Drama Queen. She has a fainting couch & everything bad is The Worst Thing Ever (in Lesson Zero, this includes misplacing a pair of scissors). In Dog & Pony Show, the Diamond Dogs paid 6 cartloads of gems to get rid of her. (IMO, they got a bargain) Compare this to her behavior in Season 4 For Whom The Sweetie Belle Toils, for instance. Perhaps because she has had a few real disasters & now knows the difference, she doesn't let things get to her but deals with them with style & grace. She hasn't reached the Hemingway level of "grace under pressure" but she is getting there Edited December 13, 2015 by sweetolebob18
