Zed walked through the school grounds. Twirling his butterfly knife around out of boredom. He spotted some girls staring at him with love struck eyes, but he paid them no mind. A depressed sigh escaped his lips. He just transferred here and he was already getting bored with the people here. He went inside his new classroom, were his new life would begin.

 

"Welcome! Say hello to our new transfer student, his name is Zed Crimson eye!" Said the teacher happily. Zed put up a happy facade "Hello everybody, looking forward to getting to know you!" said Zed. He adjusted his tuxedo and walked down towards an empty seat next to a pink haired girl.

"Welcome! Say hello to our new transfer student, his name is Zed Crimson eye!" Said the teacher happily. Zed put up a happy facade "Hello everybody, looking forward to getting to know you!" said Zed. He adjusted his tuxedo and walked down towards an empty seat next to a pink haired girl.

Althea didn't really much attention to the new student in class. She then, turns her head around and gave out a sigh. "Hi.. Welcome to knight school.. I guess.." She said, half heartily before turning herself towards the front of the room. This ain't the first time she had dealt with a transfer student, others has been in here, said hello and did there all about themselves speech but this one.. The one that was sitting next to her made it a little.. Shocking from her point of view.

Zed was extremely surprised by this girls answer. No girl has ever answered him like that. "Thank you. What is your name?" Asked Zed as he dematerialized his knife, and took out a pen and some paper. He started copying down everything from the board, so that he was up to date.

With a soft sigh, she proceeds to introduce herself. "The names Althea Slice.. Most silent girl in the class.." She said before looking out of the window. All that she could see are students in training fighting dummies, other opponents, creatures etc. She had longed to be a top student in the class but unfortunately been pushed down by her... Well attitude.

 Zed nodded "Althea Slice... A sword user i presume?" Said Zed. Trying to keep the conversation going. This girl was going to be tough to befriend, but that excited him further. The bell rang and everyone ran out. heading towards the practice areas, or their own rooms. Zed's eyes suddenly widened. Althea... He took out a note he got from the headmaster. It said: Your room is nr 204. Your roommate will be Althea Slice. I hope that you can crack her shell. Best regards, Cristine. He looked nervously at Althea

Packing up her items, she placed her books in her bag and sighed gently. "So, uh.. I guess you're sharing a room with me huh? Whatever.. Let's get going.." She sighed, blowing some hair off her face. I just hope I can survive today with a.. Weirdo stuck in my room.. But it'll depend if he is truely confident to amuse me . She decided to walk slowly towards her dormitory, minding a few glares from other knights in training.

Althea started to smile a little bit but decided to shake it off. "Oh, you know.. The basic..swordsmanship.." She said, pulling out her sword from her sleath. "This was a legendary sword that had some.. Pretty advanced backstory but.. It'll be way too hard to put it into.. Easier sentences.." Her little speech was interrupted when she saw some one holding their arm, crying. Althea's eyes went wide as she ran over to the sore child. "A-are you okay?" She panicked, crouching to the same height as the kid. "N-no.. Miss.. M-my arm.. It's deeply swollen.." Althea placed her hand onto the weakened child arm. Instantly, the swollen pain and bruises disappeared just like magic. She smiled and got up. "Now run along~" she said, smiling. The kid smiled, running off towards the sunset.

Althea rolled her eyes and got up. When they arrived at their room, Althea unlocked the door to see a quite tidy and neat room. She sighed and sat on her bed gently. "So.. What got you so confident of joining Knights School? Surely there's a reason your here.." Althea asked, getting out her study books from her bag. "Also, your bed is opposite me.. I received a room with two beds.. At first I thought I was going to be.. I don't know.. Okay.. But when you came along.. I.. Just feel like a switch has been turned on.."

Zed shook shook his hand "It's all good. I'll just pack pack out some things" He went over to his side of the bed, and pulled out some pictures with another girl. "My father decided to sign me up here because of the sword he found.. I had always wanted to be a knight and protect a kingdom with someone else by my side.. My mother thought it was a terrible idea.. Making me fight innocent people just to protect a "worthless kingdom" luckily my dad fended my side and trained me into the girl I am tonight.. Although.. After he passed away, my mother tried to stop me from becoming to violent around other people.. She thought it was un lady like and thought it wasn't a good idea.. But I didn't lose hope for my father.. So.. After 2 years of waiting, I've gotten accepted at this school, making me move here permanently.. " Althea looks down at her arms and sighed gently. "That's why people give me glares.. Because I wasn't ready to open myself up yet.."

He looked shockingly at the knife and forced himself to calm down. He got up and took his shirt off revealing his scar "Sorry about that miss Althea. I'll go take a bath to calm my nerves"

 

Althea nodded before opening up one of her books, restricting the sight of the scar. "It's.. On your left.." She said, not even bothered to look up at Zed. She sighed gently, looking at her hands and sword. Is this who I really am inside of me? A coward? A chicken? No! I have to be strong! After all you're fighting what's important.. And that's your Father! Holding her head lightly, she grabs her pillow and rests her sore head upon it.

Zed nodded and headed towards the bathroom. He stripped himself off his last clothes and went inside the warm tub that awaited him. He let out a sigh of  satisfaction. He observed the scar on his right arm and was hit by a flashback

 

"NNOOOO, LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Shouted an elder looking woman, to a man that had a teenage looking boy in his hands. "SHUT UP!" Shouted the man, and drew his sword. A gut wrenching sound came when he impaled the woman. "NOOO, YOU FUCKING BASTARDS. I SWEAR TO GOD I'LL KILL YOU!" Shouted the boy as he started slicing through the bandits with his sword. After some minutes, the boy thought he had killed them all. But suddenly he got struck over his arm, which covered his whole arm in blood. The boy thought quick and drew his blade, while turning 180 degrees, effictively killing the bandit in the process. The boy fell down on his knees and prepared to die from bloodloss

 

Zed was suddenly back in his own body. He looked down on his shaking hands, and started to silently weep

Althea heard him weep, but tried to ignore it. When it gone on enough, she walked towards the bathroom door and knocked gently. "Are... You okay?" She asked, starting to get worried. "Do you need anything? Like a glass of water or something?" Althea said, getting no response in return. "I see.. You just want to be alone.." She mumbled gently before making her way back, towards her bed.

Zed heard her calling behind the door, but he couldn't talk right now. He got out of the bath and started to dry himself, he looked himself over the mirror. His hands were still shaking and he almost punched the mirror because of his frustration. He walked out of the bathroom with a towel covering his nethers. He got himself some clean clothes and collapsed on the bed "ragnarok" Muttered Zed and with a flash his beloved butterfly knife materialized in front of him. He started doing tricks with it as before. Only this time more forcefully and more sloppy then before. While his right hand had calmed down, his left one was still shaking.

Althea was busy looking out the window, trying to get over herself from her past mistakes. "Althea.." a voice called to her in her mind. With a confused expression, she looks around to see no one there or.. No one speaking.. "Must be my imagination.." She mumbled before continuing to look out. "Althea.." the sound came again. Her eyes shrunk to a small size realising who it was. "Father?" She whispered, a tear escaping her eye. "Althea, I don't have much time left on this beautiful planet before rising to the heavens above.. But I'm here to give you some advice.." she nodded gently, looking around if anyone or thing was listening to her. "All clear.." Althea said, looking up from the window.

"You need someone to love Althea.." her eyes went big with shock. Someone to love would be impossible as cracking a watermelon with a pinky toe. Seeing how Althea disagreed with his idea, she shook her head. "N-no! I'm not ready father!" She said, holding herself. "The choice is yours.. Suddenly, his voice fades away, leaving with a confused and upset Althea. "I-I.. Need to cool off.." She mumbled before exiting the room and heading towards the training grounds. Once she arrived, It was already crowded. Nearly every student was busy training, especially Zed. She made her way towards the arena, unsleathing her sword. A knight made his way towards her with a devilous grin. "Fight me, little girl.." He mocked as both of them got into their states. All the students saw the commotion, deciding to see what was going on.

He paused for a second and noticed that they have all headed towards a ring where his roommate and... Oh god. He sprinted towards the ring as fast as he could while shouting "ALTHEA IT'S A TRAP!"

 

Althea couldn't hear him. Holding her sword, she started running towards him but unfortunately she got trapped.. In water. "Who's the unfortunate one now.. Thea?" He laughed evily as Althea tried to get out. "HELP!!" She managed to shout out before he started towards her with his wand.

This was not fucking happening. Zed put a burst of speed into his run and was instantly up in his opponents face. "FUCK OFF" Shouted Zed and pushed him back. He activated his crimson eye and was instantly able to see the source to the trap. A magic wire had been set before hand, making this trap unpredictable. Zed sliced the air and just like that the water was gone. Zed walked up to his opponent "Fighting girls only, eh? I read up on your file Chris. You have a bad record saying that you always cheat in battles." Said Zed, inching closer and closer. He of course made sure there where no more traps with his crimson eye while doing so

Althea coughs out the water that was stored in her neck. "O-oh thank Zeus.. I thought I was gonna drown.." She coughed out as Chris grinned. "Aww come on Zeddy.. What's wrong with a little magic?" He grins, as he readied his wand at Zed. Altheas eyes went small as Chris was about to shot. "LOOK OUT!!" She shouted as grabbed a nearby shield and ran over, just in time to block the shot. "What? You stupid girl! You blew my chance!" He yelled, getting ready to shot again with his wand.

Zed nodded his thanks, and dissapeared. He reapeared behind Chris and activated phantom mode. Then he stabbed chris right in the heart. Chris thought he was dead, but calmed down when he saw no blood "Fuck you Zed" Was the last thing he managed to say before collapsing. His katana vanished, and he walked over to Althea. He checked her for injuries, and unfortunately found one at the arm that held the shield. Zed got a tear in his eye. He caressed her hand, and picked her up "I'm sorry" Muttered Zed as he carried her towards the infirmary
