My Mom passed away. I'm back.

Hi everyone, I'm back. My mom passed away from Idiopathic Pulmonary Hypertension on November 20th, 2015 and I was her caregiver and towards the end. That's the reason I wasn't posting on the board. Hospice decided to take her to a care center and where we could take a break from taking care of her. We had a feeling that she wasn't coming back home. I was off from work few months just to be there and give her pain meds. She didn't passed away in the house. It was stressful time. I would have to sneak her meds in her mouth. She had these bad dreams and dreams of a jewish family. We don't know any jewish family. It was interesting. She told me that grandpa is standing by the corner of the room, and I told her,"Tell him, I said hi". It felt like something was touching my shoulder. But, I really didn't think of anything or say anything.

 

I'm back to work now. Dad thought it would keep my mind busy.

 

She's no longer in pain, or have bad dreams. I'm back. Still watch the show. I haven't bought any ponies stuff.

I'm sorry this has happened to you and your family...All I can say it, she had begun her new life in another world. But no matter what, she'll always be right beside you at all times. Trust me.

We don't know each other, but I've had this topic open for the past thirty minutes hoping that I'd think of something to say.

 

The impression I got from your post...  You must really love your mother.  And she must really love you.  Past tense doesn't apply; real love isn't something that goes away or stops.  That's something you'll always share with her.

 

My grandfather passed away...  Wow.  It's been over a year, now.  I've dreamed about him numerous times, since.  Even though I didn't get to see him before he passed, I feel like I've still had the opportunity to say goodbye.  And I think that's important.

 

I'm sorry for your loss, but I'm glad that you were there for someone you love when she needed you.

On behalf of the staff here I want to extend our sincere condolences on your loss. Experiencing such a life event is never an easy thing, but as time goes on we become stronger individuals from it; especially when we hold the memories of those we lost close to our hearts.

 

However as this topic isn't much of a discussion topic I am going to have to close it. Such a topic is best shared as a blog as threads like these tend to not last very long. I do not blame you for posting it considering your experience; though.
