Eurobeat Brony's Discord... for solo clarinet

Ok.

Perhaps it would be better if you could allude to JS Bach's Tocatta and Fugue instead of playing it straight up. This way, it would make your piece more interesting. When I allude to other works in my pieces, I make sure that I don't play straight up all the way.

All in all, it's a nice arrangement, but you got a little too much of Bach's piece in there.

Here's Bach's Tocatta and Fugue.

Take a close listen to how the piece in the OP is not a "straight up" play of it. There are some pretty significant differences, like for example how the organ is a keyboard instrument, and a clarinet is a woodwind. It's impossible for a clarinet to play an organ fugue "straight up".

Also, if you notice, the subject is the same phrase repeated identically over three octaves in the organ fugue, where as the clarinet cannot go that low, a change in note is required (a concert D# instead of C#), differentiating it further.

After the first 40 or so seconds of the clarinet solo, despite still being part of the introduction, it is no longer having anything to do with the Fugue.

I'm fascinated by your method of writing pieces so I encourage you to continue on doing so in your manner as you see fit, and partially, also, to not bother me with it, simply because, I'm actually not you.

Thanks for the listen!

Ok, just to clear what I meant by "straight up" it means the passage was note for note. Correct me if I'm wrong that the passages weren't note for note. But yeah, and btw, I'm actually doing something quite similar. Look forward to a pipe organ piece I will post here in the future. You'll like quite a bit, but until then, keep them coming!

Ah, music to enjoy entropy by!

This is personally my favorite excercise track, next to "Lullaby for a Princess" and listening to the entire scene of the Celestia-Nightmare Moon flashback fight.
