Karas kept rummaging through its supplies as it heard Drakk speak, "Yeah yeah no problem. However, I think we all need to arm ourselves in case some wild animal attacks what's left of the E.S.A."

 

It gathered up its throwing stars, and knives, "Is everyone armed?"

Sparkle had fallen asleep (to no surprise) her head lay on the bed near Drakk's hind hooves. even though she was asleep she heard what Karas had said "PK *yawn* 45" she replied before going back to sleep snuggling one of Drakk's hooves like it was a stuffed bear

"Well, I don't really have a weapon on me right now. I did have a Stun-Gun, but kinda dropped it after I passed out" Drakk said in response to Karas' question. "Did you guys bring the stuff I dropped here, by the way?" He asked afterwards.

 

He then noticed something grabbing his legs and muttering "PK 47". There, cuddling one of his hooves like a stuffed toy, was a mare. Drakk believed it was Sparkle Sword(s?) from the Maintenance. In anycase, he knew her due to the dealings between the Bridge and Maintenance. Aswell as the reason that his terminal always kinda broke. What can he say? Drakk isn't good with technology. He preferred the good 'ole magic.

 

Anyway, Drakk stared at the mare cuddling one of his hooves with a blank face. Other's would've probably thought that he didn't really care about it. But what did he really think?

 

"... So... Damned... Cute..."

Redwood tossed Drakk a small plasma pistol she had stashed away in her vest.

 

"Take this. It's tiny, but it can probably kill or at least scare off whatever wildlife tries to take a bite outta you. We didn't get yer stuff, but ah can run and get whatever you need in th' mornin'," she said.

 

Redwood took a sip from her flask, sat down, and began tinkering with her multiplas rifle.

 

"Ah'm in fer th' night. Holler if anythin' tries to kill somepony," she said with a small yawn.

Drakk stared at the gun in his hooves. He didn't like guns, or any form of weaponry. He was fine with violence, but any form of death was extremely prohibited by his morals. 

 

He muttered a " 'Night " to Redwood as he himself lied his head back down on the bedding. He was still tired, even though he had been unconscious for... How long? Doesn't matter, honestly. What mattered was that he was tired. 

 

Putting the gun down on the ground, next to the canister, he laid back. He could feel Sparkle Sword still holding his right hoof, but he gave it no mind. He was too tired to care.

 

And so, Dream Land took him in for the night...

Second Sight tinkered with what looked like at a laser turret at the back of the stingray. He twisted the back part of the gun, an audible click was heard. He slowly slid it out of the turret, revealing a smaller, handheld rifle.  He brought it to the worktable, tinkering with it, sparks from welding illuminating the cave. this continued for almost an hour.

 

Satisfied, he set it on the the workshop and loaded it back into the stingray's turret.

 

"The gun should be now compatible with their ammunition. I'll check tomorrow."

 

He extinguished the main fireplace and curled up in the haystack he used as a bed at the far end of the cave. He soon fell into a light slumber.

Sparkle woke up and began to look around the room in confusion before seeing Drakk sleeping on her bed. or what was once it. it had become cold and the downpour of rain wasn't helping that much she shivered and moved closer to Drakk but not before setting the cannon to attack hostiles. Drakk provided slightly more heat than Sparkle alone and she was in a fire-proof jumpsuit, a wet,torn fireproof jumpsuit but still.

Redwood put down her multiplas rifle and looked over at Drakk and Sparkle from across the collapsed room. Sparkle reminded Redwood of an old girlfriend she had before she joined the E.S.A., and Redwood wouldn't mind getting to know her better. Redwood figured she should get some sleep too, and pulled her bandana over her eyes, her thoughts blurring as she fell asleep.

Karas was unable to sleep for two reasons: One, it did not need sleep, as it was not one of its main priorities when it was created. However, it has slept every so often.

 

The other reason, was that it was feeling too obligated to maintain the saftey of its team to take any rest.
 

It stood by the window, looking outside at the rain, adjusting its goggles over its eyes.

Second Sight munched on the planet's equivalent of a baked potato near the mouth of his cave, staring into the rain. A makeshift drainage system prevented the rainwater from flooding the cave.

 

His thoughts drifted to the events of the previous day. The wreck. At first glance, Second Sight knew that it had all the parts he needed to finish building his one-pony ship and get off the planet. However, it would leave the rest of the ponies stranded on the planet.

 

On the other hoof, between the wreck and his own materials, he probably had enough parts to create a distress beacon strong enough to reach one of the less travelled trade routes. Maybe the ESA would make an effort to retrieve their employees.

 

Well, he could always fly off on his own ship and seek help from a nearby colony, it was just a question of whether the crew trusted him to come back.

 

As far as he could tell, the ESA's ship's steering system was incompatible with smaller ships, whereas his own ship was dedicated to smaller, more agile fighters. However, his ship operated very differently from conventional ships: it was of Second Sight's own design, and only he knew how to operate it. It did a very good job at deterring thieves.

 

He mulled over it for a while, considering the pros and cons. He came to a conclusion. His decision made, he trotted back to his workshop, working on a water purifier to pass the time till the rain ended.

the living quarters turret spiralled around to see a massive bear thing crawling towards the camp like a massive well... bear it growled as it approached the crash sight it could smell fresh meat. even through the rain. the turret opened fire on the land in front of the bear like thing unable to reach the actual entity

Karas took note of the bear outside, and almost went to warn its teammates. However, once it saw the turret turn its head to shoot at the bear, it stopped, and instead looked back outside the window.

 

"Hm....so far this place really isn't looking peaceful. Who knows what else could be out there at this point."

Drakk was shivering while his mind was dreaming. Sub consciously, his body noticed a source of warmth nearby. Worming his way over it, his body hadn't noticed that this warmth was also shivering and holding onto him. But it didn't care about that. It was freezing, and it just wanted to be warm when he woke up. clasping his hooves around the warmth, aswell as putting it's muzzle on top of it, he started shivering less. Warmth was aqcuired, and he wasn't freezing as much now. Sighing in happiness, he rested while snuggling into the warmth, continuing his dream.

Redwood was stirred by the sound of something growling, but she was woken up by the sound of the laser turret.

 

She quickly picked up her multiplas rifle, woke Sparkle and Drakk, and said "Listen, you two. There's somethin' out there, and it ain't friendly. Ah heard th' laser turret go off, but y'all should stay behind me."

When Shadow heard the bear, he jolted out his slumber that was caused by the rain, lifted the sniper rifle, and took aim. He looked at the bear's head, then he decided to give it a warning. He shot four times in the paws and decided if it doesn't leave he would shot it in the head.

Second Sight's ears perked up, picking up the gunshots in the distance. 'What the hell is going on...' he wondered. He moved to the larger entrance to the cave, the opening camouflaged by shrubbery and vines.  It was still pouring heavily as the roaring sound would tell: Second Sight didn't want to get his hat wet. 

 

He looked at the sun's position, and put 2 and 2 together.

 

Shit... bear time. If there are gunshots... They are probably shooting the bear....

 

He faceclawed.

 

Those IDIOTS.

 

He got onto the stingray, starting up the engines and bursting out of his headquarters.

Redwood was stirred by the sound of something growling, but she was woken up by the sound of the laser turret.

 

She quickly picked up her multiplas rifle, woke Sparkle and Drakk, and said "Listen, you two. There's somethin' out there, and it ain't friendly. Ah heard th' laser turret go off, but y'all should stay behind me."

Sparkle awoke from her sleep and was out the door at the word "somethin'" not hearing Redwood's warning. she pulled out her PK - 45 (and corresponding night vision visor) and began to walk over to where the turret was firing. there in the moonlight was the bear. it bounded forwards with extreme speed heading for the shocked pegasus. she fired at the bear a couple of times the area becoming lit up by the red discharge from the PK-45. then Sparkle remembered the PK - 45 automatic laser pistol was solar powered...and with no sun she didn't have much choice but to stand her ground but surprisingly the bear had stopped. Sparkle raised the visor only to find the bear still wasn't moving. she picked up the laser pistol which had found it's way to the floor and threw it across the crash site where the bear then moved. "Just like a T-Rex..." she whispered "vision is based on movement... clever..." Sparkle began to walk backwards slowly so the bear didn't notice her and she could stop quickly

Redwood chased after Sparkle, frustrated with how bull headed she acted. She grabbed her from behind and pulled her back into the ship.

 

"Goddammit, Sparkle!" she said, "That was a real stupid move. You don't know what that thing was and you coulda died. Listen, ah don't want anypony to die, so please, leave th' killin' to th' soldier."

Redwood chased after Sparkle, frustrated with how bull headed she acted. She grabbed her from behind and pulled her back into the ship.

 

"Goddammit, Sparkle!" she said, "That was a real stupid move. You don't know what that thing was and you coulda died. Listen, ah don't want anypony to die, so please, leave th' killin' to th' soldier."

Sparkle rubbed where she had been grabbed before falling to the ground. "Red? do you realise what you've just done? that thing's vision... is movement based. and you just moved us both at speed back here. aka... " *a loud roaring echoes across the crash site *"it's coming back to base!" Sparkle pulled her visor down to see the bear rip a turret from its mountings and throw it above the crew's quarters before landing in an assorted pile of debris

Shadow sighed and took aim at the bear's head. He waited for the perfect time and shot at its head, then he sank through the hull and into the cockpit, grabbed a pistol that was lying right by the seat. Then he thought it over, then he dropped the pistol and grabbed the big plasma gun, then he flew over to the others

Redwood turned around and started relentlessly firing at the bear. She blasted the bear's face in the hopes of stunning or incapacitating it.

 

""Sparkle, Drakk, hide!" she said, "Ah'll hold this thing off with Karas and th' cap'n. Run!"

 

Redwood quickly hid behind cover and reloaded, then began firing again.

Second SIght burst out of the tree line, the laser canon at the back of the stingray firing red rapid fire bolts relentlessly at the bear, having locked on to it.

 

"Forget killing this thing, it's damn near impossible. Lead it away from your base less' you want to lose what's left of your supplies!" Second Sight called out to the crew. "Engage it in a place where collateral damage doesn't matter!"

 

The stingray maneuvered around the bear, keeping a safe distance from it and inching backwards, all while firing it's payload at it.

 

( this is a process called 'kiting' in Moba terms )

 

The vehicle swerved near Redwood, stopping for a second. "Hop on and fire at the bastard." He half-ordered.

 

( If Redwood chooses to hop on, Second Sight will use the stingray to lead the bear into the tree line, away from the base )

among the confusion Sparkle began to climb up onto the large cannon which was automatically firing (and missing) the bear. she turned off the auto pilot and began to take control of the turret herself. she got one of the large glowing sacks on the bears back in her sights and opened fire on it popping it like a bubble sending glowing liquid flying from the bear fortunately everyone was too far to be affected by it but the bear began writhing in pain and began its journey towards the turret.

During this whole ordeal, Drakk had been hiding behind everyone else, following slowly. He wasn't the heroic type to charge in and deal with everything head on. No, Drakk always dealt with hiw problems discreetly. He never killed anything, but if there was a threat, he'd simply sneak behind it and smack it in it's metaphorical head hard enough so it fell unconscious.

 

Right now, he was too tired to understand what's going on. All he knew what that there was a bear, and gun shots where going off. Somwhow, he had split off from the "Main group" and was hiding patethically behind a rock. Drakk never understood why, but his Adrenaline always seemed to come late. Very late. Sometimes, he would only start to feel the adrenaline coursing through his veins once the battle was over.

 

In anycase, he was still hiding behind a rock, not daring to look up. His ears were bent downwards, and his eyes were wide. He hoped that he could just avoid this battle, aswell as every one of the next ones. Atleast until he was combat-trained, of course.

Redwood ran out of her cover and jumped onto the back of the stingray.

 

"C'mon! Drive!" She yelled.

 

Redwood took control of the stingray's gun and began to fire a barrage of lasers at the bear in an attempt to lead it away from the turret that Sparkle was using.

The bear's journey was unaffected by the constant blasts and eventually reached the turret. "of all the places he could have gone he chose my blind spot." Sparkle said unable to aim the cannon downwards. "hey can someone take care of this guy? i can't get a shot on him." she said rotating the turret in an attempt to catch the bear in its attack of the turret
