First ever base from scratch.

This is incomplete and needs colouring and lots else. But this took me a couple of hours from scratch. 

 

This is my first attempt ever at doing a base completely from scratch using line art I have never, ever drawn pony anatomy before and only used a base for reference on another monitor. Any critique is welcome

Pretty good, but because you asked for critique:

 

Hair looks a little flat (more volume)

On mares, back of neck is usually concealed by the mane

Neck could be slightly longer

Body looks a tad too bloated and a little long (tighten up!)

Legs could be a little longer, also in each pair (front and back), the closer one should overlap the one farther away a little more

Wings could be slightly larger, but are in proportion with the current base (good job though!)

Chin/bottom of head line could come in a little more

Ear could be filled out a little more, also unless a pony has no mane, one usually does not see the ear on the other side of the head (this is a good thing to know)

The tail...but I'm sure you can figure that out (more oomph!)

 

I'm only being so specific because I assume you're going for the flawless, clean, well-proportioned show style. In my own drawing I've found that it takes for-fucking-ever to get everything right in trying to adhere to those guidelines. Then I found my own style.

 

Right now, this base is like 90% good.

Better, though it needs to be about 20% cuter, and that's the art of the base.
