Steady continued to cling to Red's foreleg as they approached Sand's tent

Sand saw Red and Steady coming to his tent and gave them a wave.

"Well, he you go," Sand said to Red, "Imma trustin' you remember yer basics."

 

"Well, wish me luck," Red said to Steady.

"Good luck Red!" Steady yelled from a safe distance of the furnace.

(Does he use a mini furnace/ heater?)

(Mini furnace.)

 

Red rubbed his hooves together and went to work. He started melting sand in the furnace. Then, he took a thick metal rod, put it in the furnace, and scooped out the now molten sand. He started working away forming, remelting, and eventually made a long tube. He heated it until it was soft and started to bend it slightly in different places. He started etching a scale texture on the side. He eventually molded a face and spines to create a slender dragon.

 

Sand looked at the sculpture. "I knew you still got it," he said with a laugh.

(Oh Celestia I forgot to post! My friend is going through some issues and I forgot.)

 

"It looks divine Red! I've never seen anything like it!" Steady stared in awe at the still warm piece of art.

(That's okay. I know how that feels.)

 

"Thank you," Red replied wiping the sweat off his face, "I'm glad to know I remembered a little bit about glass blowing."

"You're so amazing Red, not only are you great at music but glass art too! A true artist!"

[IvoryVinyl 48]

"Well thank you," Red said, "I'll see you later father."

 

"See ya," Sand replied, "Come back another time and make me one of them dragons."

"Hey Red, is it alright if we go see my father? I promised to visit him."

[IvoryVinyl 48]

"Okay," Red answered, "I want to talk to him a little bit more anyway."

Steady grinned and trotted with Red in the direction of her fathers house.

 

"Mind if I ask what you want to talk about?"

[IvoryVinyl 48]

"You know," Red replied, "I just want to get to know him better."

[Twinight125 45]

"Oh alright then."

 

(I have some painting to do so I'll be on later maybe.)

(Okay.)

 

"Well, let's go," Red said.

Steady knocked gently on the door and waited. Cloud peered into the peep hole and let out a sigh of relief at the sight of his daughter.

 

"Steady, Red! How nice of you to stop by!" He gave Steady a gentle hug.

 

"Hi Daddy, I just thought we should come see how you're doing at home by yourself!"

 

"Well I'm doing fine, come on in. The place is actually clean to my surprise. Did you have something to do with that?" Steady laughed and scratched her head.

 

"Yeah, I just felt like revisiting old memories and we cleaned up as we went." They hugged again as the three went inside.

 

"Well it was very kind of you and thank you Red for helping her."

"It was my pleasure," Red replied.

 

(Why is it hard to be in the same place at the same time anymore?)

Cloud smiled and sat down in his chair. Steady motioned for Red to sit in the chair next to him.

 

"I'll go make some tea."

 

"Thank you dear."

Red shrugged and took a seat in the chair. The chair was worn and sagged a little under him.

"So, mind telling menhow you two met?"

[IvoryVinyl 48]

"It was kind of by accident," Red explained, "We just ran into each other on the street."

[Twinight125 45]

"Well my daughter seems to have taken quite a liking to you."

[IvoryVinyl 48]

"How can you tell, may I ask?"

[Twinight125 45]

"Just look at her! I can tell by her eyes every time she looks at you. Mind if I put on some music? I have a song that fits my point."

 

Cloud pulled over an old record player and pulled a record out from between the books of a large bookcase.

Red listened to the song. It wasn't John Coltrane (That's how you really spell his name. Free pony pun.), but it would work.

 

"Okay," Red agreed, "Suppose she is. What you say about that?"
