he looked down then grinned when he got an idea for cloud, and began to tickle her with his wings.

Oak watched them from the shadows, then disappeared and headed for Ponyville.

*Xiro looked confounded trying to imagine the strange sounding vehicle.*

 

*Ziygma inhaled deeply. He had just lifted his head out of a bucket of cold water. It was hot outside and he still had a lot of work to do. It had been a few weeks since he had arrived in this town, and in return for the locals kindness in helping him heal, he had offered to lend a paw working in the fields. He looked around. Several griffins were doing the same job he had just taken a break from, pulling plows through the fields of soil, prepping the land for seeding. These griffins were his friends, but that doesnt mean he had forgotten Xiro and Harley. He had them with him always, their pictures in the locket around his neck. But then, there was Echo. The griffin who had cared for him while he was wounded. She not only healed him, but she was giving him free room and board at her home during his stay. There was something about Echo, something, familiar. And it made him feel happy.*

"Ay! Ziyg-boy! Brek times ovah!"

*A griffin called to him. Ziygma looked over to the griffin. That was Chak, a good strong rival. Ziygma smiled. Chak reminded him of Harley. They were both very good friends and would always have your back when you needed it. Chak had helped Ziygma out on multiple occasions when other, less than friendly griffins had cornered him, and tried to pick a fight. None if these griffins had ever even heard of a Torch Hound before, and they really didnt like the new arrival. Chak was also Echo's older brother.*

"Alright!"

*Ziygma called back to Chak as he walked over to an empty plow and hooked himself up and got back to work.*

"Well, the place is a wreck, and I'm a little nervous about going upstairs. What if his body is up there?" She shuddered and started to cry a little again. "The place was a wreck. He'd NEVER let that happen, not if he could stop it..."

Shadow did not know what to do. This was mainly his fault, in fact it was all his fault. His put his arm around her shoulder in a comforting way "I'm sorry" was all he said.

"Oh, god, look at me," said Rain in annoyance, wiping violently at her eyes. "I'm sorry, this isn't like me. It's just...he was closer to me than my real family." She stood there in silence and stared at the ground. "We should keep going," she said, but didn't move.
