Shadow could tell something was off. He was almost to the point of checking to see what happened but decided to put it off for now.

midnight growled, his body was shivering a bit, the stallion took the chance to push him off and try to run,

as soon as midnight realized what was going on, he smirked and chased after the stallion, this brought the weirdest sense of de ja vu, but he shrugged, and tackled the stallion again, wrenching his head back.

"hmm, nice try."

he bared his fangs again and bit into the stallions neck.

Shadow laid back in his chair in a attempt to rest. He was still trying to forget his problem, but it was starting to grow impossible.

*Xiro opened her eyes to see that Harley was fast asleep. She wiggled her way off te chair and spawned a large mass of floof to take her place in Harley's arms. She then trotted over to Schwartz, who was standing gaurd at the campsite.*

 

"Hey Torch Hound." *Schwartz said casually.* "Need something?"

 

*Xiro looked back at Harley nervously.*

"Why, why did your friend try to kill me and Harley?"

 

*Schwartz looked into the fire she had built.*

"Apparently the big guy over there killed one of our allies, took his skull and started wearing it as his mask." *Schwartz said sadly.* "It was one of our friends, and K-Bar has a short temper when she is lusting for revenge."

 

*Xiro had a confused look.* "But, Torch Hounds are born with our masks. They arent removeable or replaceable. They are a part of us." *She explained.* "So that cant be true."

 

*Schwartz thought for a moment.* "That may be true, but it doesnt disprove the suspicion that Harley may have killed our friend."

 

*Xiro turned back to Harley.*

 

"Hey, just so you know, Ill make sure K-Bar doesnt kill you. She just has to be reminded of our oath to not harm innocents." *Schwartz said to her.*

 

"Thank you." *With that, Xiro walked back over to where Harley was sleeping, disspelled the floof, and snuggled back up into Harley's arms.*

Shadow looked over to Schwartz. "I could tell you what i know about him" he said.

"When i was living here in the forest with Fire, he stumbled upon our camp, Rather disturbed really. When i told him what we were doing here he asked if he could join us. Later afterwards i got him to tell me why he was here. He said after he was outlawed from his group, he went into the forest, and his slow decent to madness from being alone out in these woods caused him to go insane. Dwelling off the creatures in here, and taking their bones as trophies. He said that his mask was made of a pony skull and he used a special magic to get it on his face. And i inspected his claw weapons he uses.....they were in fact made of pony bone" he said recalling the events.

 

"What i know about his mask is that a bat pony had stumbled into the forest at a bad time, running into Harley himself. The fought, and Harley won. So he took his skull to make a more protective mask, enchanted with spells. If im correct also, He took some of his bones to make weapons. For instance, Harley's bone claw extensions."

"Then I think that it is essential that this female torch hound, Xiro or whatever, should be with him at almost all times. If not, he could loose all control."

"If you ask him about the mask he might flip out, but he can be calmed quite quick..." Shadow added. "My guess is he will tell you the same thing he told me"

*Schwartz looked back into the fire for a moment and then back to Shadow.*

"By the way, I never got the chanse to thank you for saving my ass from that lava pit back during the dark alicorn incident. So thanks."

Shadow nodded "No problem. When Harley came here, he was much different then now. A Violent, murderous, insane sociopath. I just hope whatever you say doesn't make his mood switch back. Even so, we should be able to calm him"

"He seems pretty chill about, almost everything, now that Xiro is here. Had he ever mentioned anything about his home before?"

"He said there was a accident at in his group that was his fault. They basically kicked him out because of it" he said. "It's usually something he does not talk about"

Shadow gave a nod but stopped for a moment. "Bluh, I rarely sleep..." he said "Stupid vampirisim......" he mumbled. "They are lucky they have a better ability to sleep" he said referring to the other vampires Harley and Fire.

Shadow gave a slight laugh "I know how you feel then" he said

 

Fire still could not heal himself properly. He was onto the verge of death, but he did not get any worse, He healed very slowly.
