Emerald joined Potion as he was the only pony she knew and the only pony she wanted to know for a while. she felt a bit twitchy and on edge she needed a drink of anything alcoholic at all. she took a swig from a flask containing Whisky and Rum before putting it back in her bag 

"You will get trouble if somepony sees. And it isn't healthy for you." Potion said referencing Emerald's drinking.

"But it's your own choice what you do. I won't be teaching you how you should live." 

"Aright, here we are" He said when they arrived to cafeteria and he went towards a empty table.

Emerald looked at the flask. she debated pouring it's contents into the sink so she couldn't drink it but she couldn't do it. she closed her bag and went towards the table. A stallion whistled at her and said "hey there beautiful" as she walked past she ignored him and kept walking towards potion.

Potion looked at whistling stallion without him noticing. "really?".

 

"Ignoring is good way to go." He said when Emerald got into hearing range. "Not like I could disagree though"

He shook his head. "What am I thinking. focus Potion". He took out his lunch bag but didn't open it yet, he was thinking if he should eat or not, he wasn't hungry.

He shook his head. "What am I thinking. focus Potion". He took out his lunch bag but didn't open it yet, he was thinking if he should eat or not, he wasn't hungry.

Emerald sat opposite Potion and looked through her lunch there wasn't much just a sandwich, lighter and a few cigarettes. she debated having a smoke but decided not to she was hoping to stop by the end of the month she didn't even like smoking and only started when she feared Gold was dead.

Potion decided not to eat and put his lunch back into his saddlebags. He started reading through his notebook. "Those also will get you into trouble here." Potion tried start conversation with little more positive topic.

"Can I ask you what brings you in this school, you seem to be little new to the whole system?"

He kept his voice as friendly as possible and tried not to sound too curious.

Potion decided not to eat and put his lunch back into his saddlebags. He started reading through his notebook. "Those also will get you into trouble here." Potion tried start conversation with little more positive topic.

"Something." Emerald was done with the cravings and lit up a Cigarette and began to smoke. "ahhh... that's the stuff..." she couldn't believe she was smoking again after what she had just told herself about not smoking. she exhaled a large puff of smoke that drifted up into the air in large clouds

The teachers looked over. "consider this your final warning if I ever catch you smoking here again than it'll be isolation for three months."one of them said before letting her go. Emerald took some deep breaths and gasped a short "t-thank-you Potion"

Potion sat back down and let his head drop onto table giving loud bang. He said with quiet voice. "It would be appreciated if you could listen warnings." He didn't know what was worse, the fact that they were main attraction in cafeteria at the moment or that this event will be remembered really long time. "And don't ask why I did that, because I can't answer you"

Potion replied head still on the table. "Sure, it's win in that front. But look around you, I don't know if you like attention." "But I personally." He looked at Emerald. "This is really, really unpleasant."  He moved his eyes back at the table. "But don't get me wrong. I'm not blaming you."

Potion raised his head back up. He couldn't but smile to Emerald. "Well, What's done is done, laying on the table doesn't change anything" He stood up and turned towards the doors. "But I can't be here, I need fresh air." He started walking slowly towards the exit.

He could hear other ponies talking about what just happened and about them in general. Few loner and pirate jokes flew around ponies too.

Emerald ran after Potion not wishing to be noticed any more than she already had been and the hall had started to smell like smoke after the incident with Emerald smoking in the corner "hey!" she said as she got up alongside him smiling like a mad mare

Potion was monitoring area around them and looked behind him if there was any curious ponies hoping to get more rumor material from them. Yard and hallway were empty, everypony were still in cafeteria. He noticed Emerald still looking at him. "What?"

Potion let out a surprised noise and checked around to see that there was nopony close by. "I could say it is kinda awkward, but if I were to say that...." He looked at Emerald and smiled "I would call myself awkward too"
