I've replaced Flash and Photoshop with Paint.NET.

I hope I've made a wise decision.

 

Also this is a reference to a very failed, much cringe Patreon I put up for my crappy Weekend comics. Nobody liked it. So I stopped caring about it.

Paint.NET is a pretty useful program: almost all of my art was created with Paint.NET.

I would argue that it is not as comprehensive as Photoshop, but it is better if one is unfamiliar with photo editing software, enjoys coding, or is looking for freeware. However, I suggest that you invest what you can into better programs.
