Feliks looked down at Maria when she cleared her throat "Yes of course" He stopped walking and waited for the rest to disperse from the room "What is it that you wanted to talk about?" Asked Feliks with a polite smile. This was strange, what could she want from him after the meeting?

 

Okay, this was going well so far. "Well" Maria started "I would like to invite you to come to canada for a visit, as a sign of our good will towards russia and to discuss everything we talked about in this meeting, especially the aliance part. I can't make such a desicion on my own but I also don't think it would be right to leave you out of the discussion."

An invite to Canada? Good will towards Russia? Something was definitely wrong here. Showing good will to Russia has never been in the best interest of countries. Ukraine and China could only afford to do so since China is gigantic and also going through industrialization and because Ukraine is very close to Russia, therefore having the luxury of Russia as protection. He decided to play along though "Well ,alright i suppose that can be arranged. Let's see..." An invite to Canada? Good will towards Russia? Something was definitely wrong here. Showing good will to Russia has never been in the best interest of countries. Ukraine and China could only afford to do so since China is gigantic and also going through industrialization and because Ukraine is very close to Russia, therefore having the luxury of Russia as protection. He decided to play along though "Well ,alright i suppose that can be arranged. Let's see..." Maria nodded, she did not notice his suspicion but there was no need for any, she had no intentions other as maybe establishing a friendship between their countries. It was best to be on good terms with such a big countrie which was getting more and more importand as a world leader. She also took out her agenda "next week sounds good, before that I have buisness of my own to take care of and I need to prepare my advisors." "they won't like to hear that I invited you in the first place." she added mumbeling.

Asked Feliks, he also had the feeling that USA or some other country might accuse him of doing things behind their back if he went on and did something this major without them being present.

Feliks thought it over. She did have a point, but he just didn't want to get Russia out in a shitty conflict with the US. However, getting Canada as an ally could be very worth while. He would just need permission to deploy armored forces near USA in case that they get angry. "Alright, i accept your generous offer. I will also make sure to be "formal" at the meeting so that i won't anger your advisors" Said Feliks with a wink.

Maria looked at felix with a blank expression on her face "I don't think that would be a good idea" she said without a hint of humor. Then she started to gather her stuff in her suitcase. She nodded when he said he would go "the pleasure was all mine, I'll contact you soon. Maria sat down and waited for the phone to be picked up. She didn't have to wait long untill it got picked up "hi, miss rangefield, yea it went well""of course not!""oh yea, about that, you gotta tell them something..." then she told her everything that had happened during the meating, so that miss rangefield could tell it to all the advisors "okay thanks, I hope to hear their responce soon" she said and ended the conversation.

Russia's economy was now booming since China was such a heavy buyer. Plus, Ukraine gave Russia access to other luxurious resources such as silk which he would sell to other western countries. Today was the day that he would go to Canada for a meeting that could add a new member to the union. He put on a navy blue tuxedo and a tie of the same color to follow up. With a confident smile in the mirror, he departed for Canada.

Feliks followed the security down towards the advisors and Maria. Once he approached them, he politely shook hands with the advisors. Then he approached Maria, and performed a graceful bow. "Your majesty" He said and offered her some russian chocolate.

Maria smiled and accepted the chocolate, it was one of her biggest weaknesses, then she made a small kneebow to him "Thank you, mr Adolphus. I would like to welcome you to canada, I hope you have a good stay here." she said politely. "now, if you would follow me then I'll show you the way to the limo, they will bring us to an exelent restaurand where we'll be able to discuss some things with the other advisors aswell as enjoy a good lunch"

 

(I was thinking that either the discussion goes well and Canada become allies with Russia, or one of the advisors will absolutely hate Russia and get the other advisors on his side to be against it and they will cause a lot of drama. which one do you like more?)

They were throwing questions as Maria, and even more at Felix, like "is it true there is going to be a friendship between canada and russia?" "are you okay with leading canada to a war with the US?" "will canada also adopt comunism?" and more of that. Maria ignored them and walked straight to the front limo that was reserved for her and felix.

Maria raised an eyebrow when she saw Felix pull out a bottle of vodka but didn't say anything about it. For herself she grabbed a small glass of orange juice from the little fridge in the limo.

"So, you've never been to canada?" she asked with a polite smile "since the airport is distant from the inhabited world you can see some of the beautifull wild nature of canada along the way."

Maria looked at felix "well, they're not all bad guys, I think some would be fairly reasonable, but I have to warn you for the minister of international matters, Mr Willers, I don't think you two are gonna get along." she frowned concerned "but I'm sure it'll be fine. In the end, he has to listen to me" she smiled again
