Ammo reloading

Been thinking about getting into ammo reloads, at least for  my .45LC, as rounds average nearly a dollar each. I'm not sure if I should start with the basic mallet-and-die kit, or go whole hog and get myself a fancy press and caster molds and such.

Anybody here have any experience with ammo reloading? Thoughts?

Oh wow, I'm glad I found this thread! :ticking:

I started reloading ammo about 6 years ago with the Lee "whack-a-mole" kit for .38spl. It works, but I had trouble getting consistent roll crimps. I shortly upgraded to a single stage press and love it.

Reloading is fun (and so is bullet casting) and definitely worth it for obsolete cartridges such as the .32-20 Winchester.
