When he was halfway to his mansion, he felt a bit of his magic returning. So, he used that to sink into the shadows and move much quicker towards the mansion. He had to hurry if he wanted to avoid sunlight from erasing his shadows. After 20 minutes, he finally made it. The guards at the gate helped him up the stairs and inside where Vladimir collapsed on the sofa. Happy that the mission was a success.

when finally the last family had returned to their home Farah stretched and yawned, she was tired, exhausted actually. It was still quite a long way to her house and tomorrow she had to get up early again, which she wasn't looking forward to at all. but she shook her head and started to make her way home, while she texted Mark that she was still alive and that everything was safe again. after a good thirty minute walk she finally got to her apartment where she happily let herself fall on her bed and almost inmediately fell asleep.

Vladimir woke up to a painful cramp all over his body. He shouted in agony for a few minutes before the pain was over, and when it finally was over he went out to the restroom and puked. "Fuck me... Why does blood and shadow magic have to be so painful?" Asked Vladimir, slightly jealous of elemental users. He walked back to his office chair, and sat down. Today he had to manage income... This was going to suck.

 

(We need a moment, where Vladimir can abuse his Mafia power. I propose two situations. ONE: You could have an idiotic superior general that you want dead or gone from power. TWO: You have an abusive superior and seek help to destroy him/her while keeping your job. Now reading about medieval knight fighting techniques... what the actual fuck)

Farah woke up, too late. she should have been at the headquarters already! quickly she got out of bed and went straight to work. the morning air was cold and her breath formed little clouds as she walked. she didn't think about yesterday anymore, she was worried about what would happen when she would arrive at work. surely, Rick wasn't going to let her get away with being late, he always had something to complain.

 

She arrived at the building and took a deep breath before she walked through the door, preparing for some kind of scolding. but, nothing happened, this was unusual since Rick usually waited for her to arrive so that he could say something stupid but this moring he wasn't there. That was good, she wasn't going to wait for him to come either and inmediately walked up the stairs to go to her office.

 

suddenly she saw him there, he was talking to a girl that didn't work here for long. or, was it really talking? he was standing too close to her for that and she seemed uncomfortable. not thinking for a moment she stepped towards them "What the fuck do you think you're doing here, Rick?" she asked. rick turned around with a furious expression "It's Mr. Fetchberg for you, Farah" he said stepping towards her. from behind his back, Farah could see the girl quickly walking away, she would talk to her later to make sure everything was allright.

 

"No, it isn't" Farah said to Rick "I am still the leader of the AMTF remember?" "You're still a little girl, remember. And I work for the national anti monster ministery" he said "you're not suited for this job. you know what I heard, that yesterday you came across the leader of The Black Rose. I hope that you killed that bastard, then I'll let you get away with this." Farah looked him directly in the eyes "No, I didn't kill him, there was no reason to" she said with a blank expression. "Ha, I knew it" Rick laughed "you couldn't because you're a little girl. I thought you had the reputation of being mercyless but appearently you're not" he came even closer to her, but Farah refused to take a step back. "there was no reason to kill him, he made our job a lot easyer by killing the parasite nest. I'm only mercyless to those who don't deserve mercy" she said and then she turned around and walked away, she went straight to her office and locked the door. "I'm only mercyless to those who don't deserve mercy" she repeated for herself.

Vladimir sighed. His income has increased with 10 percent in Orenburg city, which used to be a normal city until he annexed it. The government couldn't afford to protect it, so this was the best thing he could do to keep up the bad reputation. With the paperwork done for today, he decided to go get some air. He definetly needed it.

 

(Btw, do you want your character to ask for help directly at the mansion? Or do they meet through a mission again, and she asks there?)

Farah had been in her office doing some boring paperwork and finally decided that it was time for her to come out again, she didn't want to look like she was hiding. as she walked downstairs she heard a voice from behind "Farah, you gotta stay late tonight, fill in these reports." a well known voice said. Farah turned around "Fuck off, Rick, I'm not gonna do your work." she said as she kept walking but suddenly she felt a hand on her shoulder, inmediately she turned around "don't think you can order me around, you idiot" she hissed and held his wrist. She saw his face turning red but he didn't back away "I would have been a far better leader of the AMTF" he growled back "just like my father was before he died" Farah let out a drie laugh "no disrespect but your father was a terrible leader, and he didn't die, he couldn't handle it anymore so he comitted suicide" she said but before she could say anything more Rick hit her.

 

surprised Farah let him go and took a few steps backwards, she felt on her belt and her hand touched the dual daggers she always carried around. suddenly she felt the urge to throw them at him but then a friendly voice behind her said: "don't do it, Farah" It was mark. Farah looked at him and felt tears of frustration wellin up in her eyes, frustration because she knew he was right, she couldn't do anything. then she put her hands in her pocket and walked away, out of the door of the office. "where are you going?" mark asked as he came after her "Gonna check on that dead nest, see if it's still dead. bye" she said but that was a lie, a plan had formed in her head. "he doesn't deserve mercy" she mumbled to herself as she made her way to the next town

A scout.came running into Vladimirs office "Sir, the captain of the ATMF is approaching. What do we do?" Vladimir was surprised. What buisness did she have with him? "Allow her in and show her to my office immediatly. Treat her like a guest" Said Vladimir. The scout nodded and was off.

Farah found the mansion pretty quickly. Before she knocked on the door she took a deep breath, of course she was a bit nervous, everyone would be nervous before knocking on the door of a maffia boss, but eventually she knocked and the door opened. Someone took her to vladimirs office, on which door she knocked again.

Aaand, this was how far she had prepared herself. She had actually never expected that she would really push through but now she was here she couldn't back down anymore. But still, now that she really was here she sounded rediculous almost. She sighed "first of all, I haven't properly introduced myself yet. I am Farah Epiphany, but feel free to call me Farah." she said "and second, I... Ehm... Came to ask your help with something, but... It is highly illegal indeed and I'm not even sure if I really want to do this, I mean, it's probably rediculous and an exaggerated reaction but, it's something that has been bothering me for a long time so yea." she said, she couldn't get the words over her lips, she really couldn't.

She was clearly nervous over something. Meaning that the illegal thing she wanted from him was bad. "So illegal stuff, eh? Did not expect that from a captain of an elite monster hunting force. So what do you want? Murder? Kidnapping? Make someone suddenly "Retire"?"

 

For now Farah just ignored the fact that he just admitted that he had hacked their data base, she had more importand stuff on her mind. She sighed again "I never expected it from myself either." she mumbled quietly "but yea, there is this guy at the task force and he... He's just getting rediculous. He's disturbing everything, walking around like he's everyones fucking boss and I can't get rid of him..." she said while she grew more quiet with every word she said and she looked down.

He gently put his hands on her shoulder, and rubbed them on that one specific spot where everyone starts to automatically relax. "Listen here Farah. Despite what you think of me, i am an honest man. So listen to me when i say this. Sometimes, the only right thing to do, is the inhuman one. Forexample when i forced 20000 civilians out of their houses with a false threat. It wasn't right, but it was the right thing to do." He let go of her, and walked over to the fireplace "I will give you sometime to think over it, while i may be the mafia boss of the biggest mafia in the world, i still am a reasonable man"

Normally Farah would not have alowed anyone to touch her like this but for now she didn'tm mind it, it helped. And what he said was true. When he had let her go and stood by the fireplace she had finaly managed to put herself together. "You're right, and thank you." she said as she stood up "I better get going now, I'll contact you soon again then. Sorry for being such a mess, I swear this is now how I usually am" she added and then she walked to the door.

Farah nodded "of course not, this never happened." she said "and I'll make sure to contact you as soon as I've completely made up my mind. But I'll find another way to do so, being seen here twice will probably be suspicous." she opened the door "anything else?" she asked before she left.

Farah caught the bottle with one hand and smiled "thanks, I'll give it to them" she said and then walked out of the office and closed the door behind her.

 

When she was outside again she walked back to the headquarters, but took a longer road as nessecary, she didn't want to go back there at all but she knew she had to.

 

When she came back she didn't see Rick again, he probably went home already, he always went home early and let others do his work. Mark came to her "glad to see you're back, I was afraid you would do something stupid" he said but Farah smiled and handed him the bottle of vodka " here, don't ask" she said and went back to her office.

Vladimir then sat down by his chair again, a serious look on his face. He took out his phone and called "Yes, this is Vladimir. I want you to do something for me." Said Vladimir "What is it?" Asked the voice "I want you to make the minister of defense to retire" There was a pause "But how?" Asked the voice. Vladimir smiled "We will make him an offer he cannot refuse"

at the end of the day Farah had made up her mind. but how she was going to get the message to Vladimir was a different story. she thought about it as she walked home, but hadn't gotten any better ideas when she came there. She walked over to the cage with her two rabits, Bonny and Clyde, and fed them. still deep in thought she stroked the brown and white bunnies.

Suddenly, on the news a message popped up "Urgent message from the minister of defense" Read the title. The screen showed the minister who was clearly spooked out of his mind. "I will be retiring from my position as the minister of defense" He said, and Vladimir grinned as he turned off his TV. Now one of his spies would take over the position. Which meant he practically had the power to this countries military equipment.

Farah put on the tv. on the news she saw the minister of defence, and that he was no longer going to be the minister of defence. weird to say the least, and a bit concerning since the AMTF was part of the ministery of defence but she shrugged her shoulders, there was probably nothing wrong. suddenly she got an idea on how to deliver her message to vladimir, and it involved also a bit of experimenting for her to the extend of her powers. she grabbed a piece of paper and scribbled a message on it, then she put on her jacket and left.

With a tired sigh, Vladimir walked over to his blades and started cleaning them. Making sure that they maintained their sheen, He thought about Farah, and how she suddenly wanted him to kill her higher up. Quite the strange request, but must be quite urgent if she asked him for help.
