Is the student too detached from the mentor?

While we did see an obsessive moment in "no second prances" with her trying to please, and make herself look good as a teacher before Sunbutt, I feel like Twi needs a consoling moment with her. As seen in season 4, 5, and 6, Twilight has made plenty of mistakes regarding friendships, even after getting her title. She still has a long way to go and learn about friendship herself. She doesn't have nearly as many doubts or freak-outs as she once had, but I think it's to her detriment. She can own up to (some) of her mistakes, but still seems to believe with her actions on matters of friendship that she's in the right. And still also puts Sunbutt on a pedestal. Should she start having doubts as to her deserving of her title and ascension, or something similar, that would have her seeking solace and advice from her mentor, as she once did, to show that even now, she still has much to learn from Sunbutt? (We never really saw Twi going to her for her problems, after all) could this also open up (ugh) Sunbutt development and flaws for those fans hungry for it?

I think it is more of Starlight didn't appear a lot in season 6 and thus we didn't really get to see a lot of progression of her as a student and her relationship with Twilight.
