A Royal problem (spoiler-free)

does anyone find it strange that we've seen every sibling interacting together- Apple Jack and Apple Bloom, Apple Bloom and Big Mac, Apple Jack and Big Mac, Sweetie Belle and Rarity, Rainbow Dash and Scootaloo, Fluttershy and Zephyr Breeze, Celestia and Luna....but no real episode of Twilight and Shining Armor getting to spend some sibling time together (outside of world crises' or babysitting requests. Hell, Twilight has gotten to share a day off with her sister-in-law, more than she has with her own brother! When do you think we'll get a Royal siblings 2.0 Twilight and Shining Armor episode? And what about royal friendship ambassador Pinkie Pie and Limestone Pie/ Marble Pie?

Easy scenario for this: Cadence offers to take care of Flurry Heart so Shining and Twily can spend some quality time together since Shining has been soooo busy lately. Boom, instant profit. I am with you on this, I really want this episode to happen eventually. Shining Armor seems like a very underutilized character and we still don't know a whole lot about him. We need one good episode with him being part of the focus.

Now that you mention it, you have a good point. Sure, Shining and Twilight are often very busy focusing on their own lives (Twilight as a princess, Shining as a prince, husband, captain, and father), but their lack of communication other than A Canterlot Wedding (and that could be speculated that he was under some form of trance by Chrysalis) is noticeable.

One of the only times they really communicated with each other on a personal level isn't even from the show, but Friends Forever #6. Both Shining Armor and Twilight show a really close sibling relationship here, and the show would do great with more of that. To make it personal will show how much they care for each other.

Twilight has to figure out how to balance between quality time with her family and with those who see her as a role model. Alone, that's a great concept that DHX hopefully gets right.

hopefully, but even so- I highly doubt it will be time spent with her brother alone. (although I have been dying to see Twi interact more with her parents also)
