I'm getting so close to figuring this out as you can see I only needed one ingredient and I went to buy it from Hollow shades, I got it but barely survived as well, Glad you all were there to save me." Zecora said with a smile "Thought to continue work with the cure I'd need to get back to ponyville... What exactly are you referring to?"

"I am referring to one of my older versions I had presumed as a cure, but there is a reason I am hesitant about this, this old cure is not a method made from anything that we are all familiar with. What I did here it was taking a very big blood sample of someone I had tried to help, someone who had a resistance to the virus itself, but the thing is... He is a shadow walker, and by that extension would make him immune to it. Now there is the question if your body would come to accept this new type of blood to halt the virus. Because I am in reality giving the blood of a very unstable terran to a zebra, which is why I am asking you if you would really want something like this." Caerson said he couldn't help but grimace that he was forced to tell one of his more deeper secrets just like that.

"If you're willing to try it then... Yes... That would be worth trying..." Zecora looked at the expression on his face reading it easily. "I'm sorry though... Perhaps I should not have asked about your past... Who's ever blood that is I'm sure they were a great person if they were your friend." Zecora put her hoof on his shoulder as a form of apology.

"I guess it needed to be said in the end, but yes he was a good friend..." Caerson said, having a rising nostalgia.

"However, I can only do it once we are back in Canterlot, I still have the blood samples there." He said as he shrugged out of his thoughts.

It was getting a bit late in the night, it had been concluded that the attack on that conversion centre had to wait until tomorrow, as they were planning deeply on how to get to the entrance with minimal casualties.

Jack was busy cleaning his knife, the very knife that he had taken from the body of a dead soldier back when they escaped.

He was inside a building as he was inspecting it.

After some time he eventually grew bored and started juggling with it, his boredom is as big as ever.

Woody walked by Jack's room and saw him juggling a knife "Hey." He said rather quietly so he wouldn't make him jump "I'm going to get something to eat. You look rather bored so why don't you come with me... You don't have to get anything you can just walk with me there."

Jack was still juggling until he heard Woody ask him something, he caught the knife handle in a rather tight fashion.

"Alright, sounds good, I guess keeping my mind distracted does sound like a good idea." Jack as he followed him.

Woody, Who was walking upright, waited at the door frame and once he and Jack were alone he knelt down to him "I need to ask you something. Be honest with me and I don't care what the answer is... But think deeply about this, Do you think we equestrians have a chance of beating Valtrek... Celestia mentioned I was one of the strongest magic users on this planet and Valtrek knocked me around like a training dummy. As you can see..." Woody said referencing his blinded eye. "It's just... been bothering me."

Jack thought for a moment.

"If I am honest Woody, No, at least not by Equestrian means. There is a good reason for that when I have started to know you guys, I realized all of you gather your strength from your own bodies, trying to tap in all of your latent potentials, but many of the enemies you and I have fought, Valtrek, The blood cult, most of those individuals have gone beyond the methods of using their potentials, they instead used outrages means to acquire powers that are mind-boggling for most. Valtrek is the prime example of this factor, he used to be like you and me, back when he was a strong fighter but had no magic, no dark powers, nothing. But the moment he returned from the dead, he jumped from a strong warrior to an absolute monstrosity within 4 centuries." Jack said.

"You will be hearing this from many of us, its the reason why I wanted to find that temple back on Equestria because there is one way we might just be able to beat him, but its something that cannot be guaranteed, i might have been blabbering so much about our past and our ancestors, but it was for good reason." Jack said.

Woody sighed and stood up "Well that's not what I wanted to hear... but it's the truth." He looked around and saw no one else heard either, he had tears start to come up at a thought but wiped them away "Well anyways I said we'd get some food. I hope we can save your sister... I don't know what I would've done in your situation." He said to him appologiticly.

"I would rather be honest with you then give you false hope so that you would suffer from it in the end. Being truthful about these things is just the right thing to do." Jack said.

"And I do hope we can save her, with all my heart." Jack said.

"I already ate something, but I was glad you wanted to talk to me, please do forgive me tough if i am a bit distant from you or anyone else, i just have some trouble being around others, there are only 2 people in which I just feel comfortable being around within moments, don't take it personally, it is something that is part of me." Jack said.

He stood up and was about to leave until he remembered something.

"Hey, please do take care of Maple alright? I worry she might go a bit to far when it comes to storming the enemy, tomorrow is going to be very dangerous." Jack asked Woody.

He then walked away to outside to walk through the town, getting some fresh air.

Woody reached a paw out. "But..." He stopped because Jack left. He sulked off with a sigh. He still had something Important to say but if Jack was just going to walk away like that then he guessed it wasn't important. "Well... That's the 4th time someone's not taken me seriously." 

Maple walked by woody "Something wrong Woody? You look sad"

Woody switched from his sorry state to a happy look "No, Of course not sister. I was just gonna get something to eat. I'd ask you if you wanted something but..." 

"Yea... But I can still hang out for a while." Maple said sitting with him. "I mean we're family we might as well relax for a-"

"No... I'm not hungry anymore." Woody said standing up and walking away.

Maple stood there in a confused silence for a moment wondering what she did to upset him

Jack walked through the city, he was just lost so much in his thoughts.

'Whats wrong kiddo? You look rather grim.' Was said in his thoughts.

'I think its pretty obvious Kiran, tomorrow we are going to try and save my sister, but I cannot shake the feeling of something bad happening.' Jack thought.

'Then I am not going to lie to you, Jack, even if she has not turned yet when you manage to free her, she won't be the same person as that you once remembered, there will be changes that might leave you devastated, it is better than I tell you now then that you would finding it out at the last moment.' the voice said back.

'I know, I don't expect anything good of it, as much as I want her to be okay, there is just NO way they would not have drugged, tortured, or operated her a point where she still has a function psyche, I had been imprisoned for 3 years, but she? She has been imprisoned for almost 15 years, just imagine what they injected her with!' Jack thought.

'And that is precisely why you need to be prepared should it go wrong, i know this is not your first time facing such a dilemma, but I am fully aware what could happen to you if you encounter her in such a misformed way. In short, i am going to tell you something that makes it easier, Do what must be done and don't let ANYTHING stop you, including outside interference or emotions, it is the one thing i learned, it is one of the reasons why i stay away from groups in general. When someone faces a problem, they tend to drag others within their own problems as well, which ends up causing you to walk away from your own problems that need fixing. I am not saying you should leave your group, but i am saying is, don't let yourself get dragged away from your own problem, because the moment your sister transforms, she is gone, and there is no way to bring her back, you are aware of what you must do then?' The voice asked.

'Yes.. I have to shoot her... As much as i cannot bear to let it happen, i know that deep inside she is going to be suffering when she has transformed, i know it better than anyone else in that regard. But still... She is family.' Jack thought, just not knowing how to feel about the entire situation.

'Indeed, but let me ask you this question, be honest here, do you presume she is better off becoming some sort of distorted creature? The moment she transforms your sister is gone, that creature will take control, shooting her will be hard, but one fact remains, everyone seems to forget is that you did the right thing, they SHOULD remember that before they are coming with their accusations of you murdering your own sister in cold blood, those who truly trust you understand the situation, but those who blame you? They are to blind to see anything beyond their own problems, and blame others for it.' The voice said.

'I guess you are right, at least you are honest without sugar coating it.' Jack thought

Woody was focusing on something. A new spell he'd been working on, He started humming a strong melody, Some rocks started to levitate out of the ground anf try to form a shape but he thought about what Jack had said to him and stopped singing. The rocks clattering to the ground. He didn't take offence to the words themselfs it's just he was usually not taken seriously enough in order to be helpful to anyone. He started to second guess everything he's done at this point "Coming here was a mistake..." He said to himself sitting on the ground.

Maple spots Jack outside after a few minutes "Hey Jack! You alright? You seem tense."

"Well, I honestly don't know for sure, just with the whole thing going on... Things just go wrong, and then you have to take care of it yourself and leave with these bad thoughts in the end you know? I.." But Jack started to falter in his words.

'I just can't... Just what  can i say?' Jack tought, going in a bit of a panic, not knowing what to say.

Maple smiled softly to him, Well as softly as the robotic body would allow "Jack don't worry about me alright. I've lived through as much as I needed to. I know you don't like that and I'm not a lot older than you are. But compare my first 10 years of life to yours. You deserve better than that."

Luna was walking by and saw the two. She giggled a bit "Hello. How are my two favorite people?" Luna said as she sat with the two a smile on her face that brightened the area "It's a nice night isn't it." Behind her smile she was worried at what she had heard as she approached and she was trying to change the conversations focus

Maple laughed "It does look nice... Does it feel nice out?" She asked looking at the night sky just kinda out of curiosity.

"It does." Luna said to her simply.

"It does look nice, I wonder just how many stars are out there, there must be so many." Jack said as he looked at the night sky

"Just come to think of it, what would be beyond the fringes of space, i know a slight amount of astronomy, but not that much sadly." He stated.

He then suddenly got an idea.

'Evelyn, you happen to be near? I know something we could do, something to give everyone a special show in this beautiful night.' Jack thought to her, not bothering to hide his enthusiasm

"Astronomy isn't something everyone wants to do but looking at something like this... You just feel connected to the universe..." Luna said as she looked up at the stars

"Don't you control the star innnnnnnnnnn Equestria Luna?" Maple asked, Occasionally since after the Download had happened Maple's Voicebox would glitch this was one of those time. "Oh... Sorry."

"Might want to get that checked on." Luna replied to Maple "But yes. It was all illusions though in Equestria you couldn't see 'real space' there."

Woody was still outside in the ally, He had started to cry "Why... Why am I just a support... I want to issue orders... and... and protect people... Maple mostly... But..." He could barely be understood he was sobbing so much He assumed this was something he had to get off his chest but here he was speaking to...

"Well then you want it... Take it!" Ember said to Woody being loud enough to be heard "You can't expect them to know that you know best just by saying so. Prove it."

The lines from ember were supposed to put confidence in him but... Woody started to cry harsher "But... Then I'm a jerk... And What if I do know right in the situation..."

Ember knelt down. "Hey, Hey. I've seen what you can do. I know you can make very good choices Woody. Just prove it to them. Set you Paw... Claws down and stand up for yourself."

Evelyn forgot she was wearing her armor and she had gone to bed early to be ready for the battle Jack's voice startled her. "GAH!" She looked around and put the helmet on "Jack? What was that was trying to get a good amount of rest for the battle tomorrow..." She thought to him

'Oh right sorry, nevermind might be better if you go back to sleep then.' Jack thought back to her with a hint of disappointment.

"A universe is a big place, there are 4 sectors in this one, where are now in the 3rd one, which is where Equestria is also located, these sectors are very big. And this is perhaps one of the more safer sectors since our enemy presence in this one is rather low. The second sector has been completely demolished, while in the first sector, the enemy presence is at its fullest, and at that very place is where the Promethean war is still going at its prime, even after 800 years it has never fully stopped. The 4th sector.. I am not sure, that one is shrouded in complete mystery, and many tend to stay away from there." Jack said.

Luna chuckled, "What happened to not knowing a lot about astronomy?" She asked still laughing. "Well, Maybe we should try to go into the fourth one. Might find some unlikely allies there. I know that they know about this Valtrek given the scale of his invasion."

Maple rose a hoof "Well we didn't know about it until it arrived in Equestria so that may not be as true as you think."

"No... No..." Evelyn thought to him "I'm up already I'll come to you, Where are you right now?"

"I guess i perhaps know a bit of it, but most of these sources came from my father." Jack said with a laugh.

"We technically could, but we would need a spaceship for that, considering just how far these sectors are removed from each other. Thing is, there are just no records or information about the 4th sector, either the information has been destroyed and never made the light to the public or something is keeping visitors at bay. I have to admit, Maple's theory does sound logical, but not for everyone there, I think the civilizations who are not capable of space travel perhaps are not aware of it. But those who are capable, know of the events for sure, these tragedies spread like ghost stories." Jack said.

'I am close to that park, Maple and Luna are there to.' Jack thought to her.

Luna nodded "That makes a lot of sense... Maple I noticed you aren't training that's rather new for you especially since we have a huge battle we're about to comence."

"I don't really need sleep." Maple said "So I can do that while everyone's asleep don't worry Luna I'll be able to fight by the time we match out."

Luna wondered something "I wonder what the equestrians are up to back at home... Maybe they're still researching the stuff we found in that temple, It'd be cool if they could something like that armor Evelyn wears..."

Evelyn yawned as she approached the group "My name was said?" She said aloud.

This caused Luna to jump "Oh I thought you were asleep."

"I was. But Jack told me he needed me and I was told to be there when he does." Evelyn explained "So what was it?"

"I was wondering, could we practice a bit? Tomorrow is going to be very important and I thought it would be a good idea if we practised a bit together, we haven't really had the chance to do so before." Jack asked Evelyn with a smile.

[Maple Bat 3,568]

Maple chuckled "You got her out of bed to train? Sounds like something I'd do."

Evelyn stretched "Yea we can do that. Don't want you to get hurt tomorrow." Evelyn helped Jack into the saddle on the armor as she has before. "So what exac-" Evelyn was interrupted

"Hey!" Woody said loudly. "I'm glad you all are here together... I needed to say something important..." Woody said, Voice full of command and a hint of anger "I wanted to tell you Jack and you walked off, but I'm not going tomorrow. Maple... I saw what you really thought and who scared you were for me and I realized... I used to be the same... So I'm staying here."

"Thank you, Woody" Maple said hugging him gently "I just don't want them to get your DNA... Or hurt you... Or even worse..."

Evelyn looked at the scene a bit confused "Right. Well, anyways What kinda practice did you have in mind?"

"I was thinking about some flight manoeuvres and practising fast hit and run attacks, in fact... You are capable of roaring right? Not only can we build up our skills, but our intimidation as well against our enemies as well." Jack said.

'I could even help you to get off your fear from that specific strain, at one point you will have to face one of them eventually, but I know how to help you with that, my father used to train his students in all kinds of task, which among the students, some were Vernomian.' Jack thought to her.

He then looked at Woody.

"I am happy you managed to make a choice! Just one thing, I am not someone who is the best person to talk about with such things, regardless if i might know alot about certain subjects, i am barely able to keep up myself, and i can't be any of use of you if i can't take care of myself in the first place." Jack told him.

[Maple Bat 3,568]

"You know... Jack... You keep saying that but you're really putting yourself down... You save my life." Maple paused and then shouted "TWICE!"

Woody smiled to him as well. "Not only that but you DID save all of Equestria warning us about Valtrek before he attacked. You saved Dad when that monster Montarion was trying to take his soul and giving him the mercy of death later. You're only 13! Maple at that age barely knew how to fight and look at you kid!" Woody rubbed his paw ontop of Jack's head "Stop selling yourself so short you've done quite a lot for us. Now we're here for you."

'Well ok but don't expect too drastic of a change quickly... The experince was... tramatic to say the least but I'll try.' Evelyn thought to him before saying "Sure I'll train with you. Sounds fun."
