Skyethepony 4 August 24, 2017 Share August 24, 2017 This will be confusing but stay with me. Celestia had a student named Sunset. Then she has a student named Twilight. Twilight has a student named start Starlight. Twilight comes after sunset and according to the real world then the stars come.
Kings&Hooves14 617 August 24, 2017 Share August 24, 2017 Interesting--I wonder if they did that on purpose. Should have named Flurry Heart "Sunrise." The Brony Code: Humans are a lie, there are only ponies. Through ponies, I gain friendship. Through friendship, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory. Through victory, my chains are broken. Ponies shall set me free.
KH7672 1,604 August 25, 2017 Share August 25, 2017 While not entirely certain if the order of succession was planned, their names are definitely on purpose as they were each designed to be foils to Twilight. Hence why they have a time of day (Sunset and Starlight) and a synonym for "sparkle" (Shimmer and Glimmer) 1 hour ago, Kings&Hooves14 said: Interesting--I wonder if they did that on purpose. No it's more with the succession thing we need to watch for Starlight to start mentoring a pony named "Sunrise Twinkle" or "Morning Gleam" 1 One of my most ambitious role playing experiences.
